[A\N] Hi there! I just realised that on the ratings this story says it's PG-13. Well it's not. Wattpad just won't let me change it. Anyways... Here's the next chapter! So vote and comment if you like this! It would make me really happy and I want good feedback on this too. So carry on readers!
- Chloe
I saw a woman emerge into the kitchen carrying armfuls of groceries with a young girl trailing behind her.
"Oh," she smiled looking up as she sat the groceries down. "You must be Freya. I'm Luke's mum. I'm guessing that you and Luke must be here to bake, am I right?" She continued without waiting for an answer. "Well, it's nice to meet you. You can call me Anna."
"It's nice to meet you too." I said shaking her hand.
"Are you by any chance Kara Lockhart's daughter?" she asked me.
"Yes," I said.
"I used to play tennis with your mum when we were both younger. Anyways, Luke? Freya?" she glanced at us both.
"Is there any chance that you could look after Charlie and Will for a little while. Just help Charlie with her homework as well as a few other things. And please can you put the groceries away. I just remembered that I forgot a few little things at work." She looked at us both pleadingly.
"Sure." I said. "It'll be no problems." I nudged Luke.
"Yeah, yeah. We'll be fine. No problems. Don't you worry about that!"
Anna grinned at both of us. "Thank you so much! I swear, you two are both lifesavers."
"It's really no trouble." I said.
"Are you sure? Luke call me if you need anything. You know my number. Thank you once again." And with that she walked away. I could hear her from upstairs talking to Will.
Luke gestured for me to come closer.
"Freya, this is my little sister Charlie. She's six."
"Charlie, this is Freya. She's a friend of mine."
"Hi Freya," she said grinning.
"Hello," I smiled back at her.
"How was school?" Luke asked her.
"Good." she said as she unzipped her bag and rummaged through it. "Look what I drew today." Charlie handed a piece of paper to Luke.
"Wow," he said as he ruffled Charlie's hair. "That's great Charlie. A pony. Where should we put it?"
"I'm going to show Josh first. Mum's seen it. But then can you help me stick it up with the others?"
"Sure." He handed the drawing back to her. "Charlie, have you eaten yet?"
"Yeah, I have. I'm not hungry anymore."
"Sure?."
"Yeah. I'm going upstairs to see Will."
"Okay then." Charlie ran out the door to the hall, then ran upstairs.
"Let's start on the project, shall we?" I asked handing Luke my notebook.
We both moved around the kitchen gathering ingredients. That didn't take long and soon the chocolate cupcakes were in the oven cooking away.
We were in the middle of cleaning up when Anna burst through the door. "Mmm... that smells good." she said as she sat her handbag down on a stool. "Will and Charlie weren't any trouble were they?"
"No." says Luke.
"Thanks for looking after them." she says looking towards both of us.
"No problems." I said.
"I just have to get a few thing out of the car, alright? I'll be back." and with that she walked out into the hall.
The timer for our cupcakes went off. "I'll get it," I said as I raced to the oven grabbing a dry tea towel along the way. I opened the oven after turning it off and took the cupcakes out. I sat them on top of the stove.
I poked a skewer through a few of the cupcakes. It came out clean. They were cooked.
Luke set the cupcakes out on a cooling rack. We let them sit for a while.
After Luke and I had finished icing the cupcakes, I said. "I should probably be going now."
"Oh... um, yeah, I'll drive you home, if you want?"
"No, it's alright. I can walk, I only live a few houses down the road. It's fine."
"I'll walk you then."

The walk to my house was silent, except for the occasional small talk. It wasn't an awkward silence, it wasn't a too comfortable silence either.
"Thanks for taking me home." I said, brushing a stray curl out of my face.
"No problems. Just didn't want you to get kidnapped." He sort of half joked.
"I could fight them off." What a lie. "I'm sure I'd be fine."
"Oh yeah, I'm sure you would be." He remarked sarcastically.
"I know I would be." I flashed him a grin. "So..." I started.
"So..." he mimicked me. "I guess I'll see you tomorrow, at school?"
I nodded. "Yeah, sure." I rummaged through my bag trying to find my house keys. Once I turned around, Luke was gone.
