CHAPTER 2.

PAIN'S POV

~ WEDNESDAY, 8 AM. ~

This is the third day since we arrived here in Canada. I am now here inside my office and doing my work when someone knocked on the door.

I looked at that direction and I saw Alfonsé. I stared at him in disbelief because he's not that fond of me for him to visit me here.

"What do you want?" I asked. He sat down on the chair in front of me. "Visiting you? Wala akong mainis eh. Ikaw na lang." I glared at him.

"I'm not in a mood to be your entertainment so, shut the fuck up." I told him. He smirked. This is the reason why I hate my relatives.

"I've heard from Chain that you're living with a girl now. Totoo ba 'yon?" He asked me. I sighed. I told Chain not to tell these idiots about that.

"I said stop, okay? It's not your business, it's mine. Stop asking about my life because I'm not asking about yours." I told him.

"'To naman, nagtatanong lang eh. Na-miss ka kaya namin. Bumisita ka naman sa bahay oh." I sighed again. "Fine. Fine. I will, okay? Soon." I answered.

"How are you?" He asked again. "I'm fine. It's just that there's a conflict in the Philippines that's why I'm here." I answered.

I stop reading the papers and stood up. I walked to the refrigerator and grabbed a beer. I gave him one then he shook his head sideways.

"Remember that I'm taking good care of my teeth." I rolled my eyes then put it back inside the refrigerator. I opened the beer that I was holding then drink.

"Anong problema sa Pilipinas?" He asked then he sit on the sofa. I sat on the sofa beside him. "Mom's rapist. They sued him." I answered.

"Matagal na rin naman nilang plano 'yon ah. Wala namang bago do'n pero anong problema do'n?"

"That rapist has a lot of connections from different politicians in that country. They are protecting him." I drink the beer again.

"I see. Mahirap nga 'yan 'pag may kakampi sa gobyerno. Pero marami din naman kayong contact diba?" I nodded.

"But we don't want to use it. You know our family, right? We can be dirty in some things but when it comes to justice, we play it fair." I said.

"That's the honor of the family when it comes to laws." I added. "Sa bagay. We play it fair. But the question is, are you being fair?"

"What do you mean?" I asked him. "Sooner or later, alam kong gagamit ka na rin ng mga manika mo mula sa gobyerno, that's you." He said with a smirk.

"Una na ko at ayokong masapak." He added then got out of the office. That bastard. I'm only going to pull some strings if my dear Silendence will be involved.

While working someone knocked on the again and when I looked up there I saw Phinraite. What does he want, right now?

"What?" I asked. He closed the door behind him. "I've heard that you went here with a girl." He said. Where did he hear of it again?

"I visited your home and there's a lovely young lady who answered me." He said with a smirk. "What did you do to her, Phinraite?"

"Nothing. She's not the one that I need, you." He answered then pull out a small box from his pocket. He put it on my table then I opened it.

I saw a diamond inside it then I grabbed it to stare at it. "What's this for?" I asked. "An original diamond. That will be in the auction tonight." He said.

"For how much?" I asked. "100 billion dollars and up." He answered. "Then what? You're going to swap it into a fake one?" This bastard is really a scam.

"What? No one will know that I swapped it. I have the money and still, I have the original. It's a win for me." I shook my head sideways.

I brought back the diamond inside the box then gave it to him again. "Just be careful out there. Most especially that you're a fucking lawyer." I told him.

"I think you should come with me tonight, instead of fucking that young lady on your home."

"I don't want to come. I'd rather stay with my fiancé than to come with you from that stupid auction." I answered. "Fiancé? You already have one?"

"Yes. What do you think of me? Weak?" I smirked. "And correction, I'm not making love with her yet." I added to him.

"Seriously? I remember you, you really despised love then now? I can totally see that your head over heels for that young lady." He said with disbelief.

"Well, fine. I'm not going to drag you there in that auction. Have a nice night, tonight." He said then he went on his way.

After he went out Aldea went in. My god. What are they doing? Why are they here? I have too many visitors in one day.

"Mike! Kamusta?" She asked with a smile. "What do you want?" I asked. "Pinapunta ako ni daddy kasi may papeles daw siya dito na kailangan kong kolektahin."

"Ah yes. Those papers." I said then point the envelope that she's holding. "Pwedeng pa-text? Nasira na naman 'yong sasakyan ko kaya ako bumisita dito."

I sighed then gave her my phone. She's not going anywhere unless I gave her what she wants. That's her, stubborn, very stubborn.

She grabbed my phone then I saw her reaction. It's like she can't believe what she saw and stared at my phone more.

"Just tell me if you don't know how to operate my phone." I said, annoyed. "Sino 'tong babae, Mike? Ang ganda niya ah."

"My fiancé." I answered her simply. "Woah. Fiancé. Nice catch, Mike. Pakilala mo naman ako!" She said then grabbed my hand.

"This is why I hate you." I said then stood up from my seat. I grabbed my phone away from her then went home with her.

~ 7 PM. ~

We are now eating our dinner, alone. I'm happy that annoying Aldea is gone and went home to her house.

"Love, ayos ka lang? Bakit parang iritado ka?" My dear Silendence asked me. "I'm fine love. It's just that my cousins irritated me a while ago." I answered.

"Sige." She giggled. "After nito, pwede ka nang magpahinga." She said with a smile. She's really beautiful. I can't take my eyes off of her.

"Okay." That's the only word that I can say to her for now. She's very hard to resist. Damn. I'm so in love with my dear Silendence.
