Chapter 5:

The next day came quicker than I expected it to.

I was honestly so excited to go on a date. It was probably weird that I was excited to go on a date with a guy that I'm already dating, but I was.

I mean, I had never really been on a real date. One in an expensive restaurant, and where I have to be fancy and look nice. I've been on one of those walks in the park, on the beach, at the movies, kind of dates before, but never a fancy one. Least to say, I was so excited.

I got up out of my bed after laying down for what seemed like most of the day. I wanted to give myself a lot of time to get ready so I could look the closest to perfect that I could look.

I hopped into the shower, washing away every bad scent that clung to my body over night. I loved the smell of my shampoo. It smelled so fruity and fresh, just how it smelled like I dunked my head in some fruity concoction in the shower. The conditioner smelled the exact same, but less intense and less sweet. It still smelled nice either way. I scrubbed my body with my loofa, using my body wash from lush.

It was great that I had a washroom for myself. I could get ready, shower, do whatever for as long as I wanted. I could buy a bunch of products and cram them into my shower without having my mom yell at me for doing that. Plus, I could blast my music as loud as I wanted in my shower and I wouldn't get lectured about it.

"She sleeps alone, my heart wants to go home!" I yelled, "I wish I was, I wish I was... Beside you!"

I sang into my shampoo bottle, making wild voice changes and spins. I could probably be a wild preformer judging by my sick moves.

After my shower show, I got out feeling fresh and happy. I had never felt so revitalized before.

"Heart break girl," I whispered as I rummaged though my closet to find my robe.

I put it on, tying it lightly around my waist. I made my way back to the washroom to get my face ready for the date.

I decided to go simple, but beautiful. I applied some bb cream all over my face, followed by concealer over my eye bags and acne. I took a step back and let out a giggle at my almost perfect looking skin. What a disguise make up was. I cotinued by swiping a neutral colored eye shadow on my eye lids. It was simply great. I then put on some dark black winged eye liner and a couple layers of mascara. To finished off, I filled in my eyebrows, then put some of my Baby Lips lip balm on my lips. I surprisingly looked decent. Next I did my hair, curling the ends, then lightly twisting my bangs to the side.

"Turn down the music, Ariana!" My mom yelled as she knocked on my door.

"Sorry!" I yelled back as I ran to my phone dock and turned the volume down.

I walked back into my room and directly towards my closet, which looked like a tornado hit it. My closet was the absolute definition of a hot mess. Full of clothes on the ground, on hangers, basically spitting the clothes out entirely. I could hear my moms voice in my head telling me to clean it up or else blah blah.

I picked out a cute outfit that I thought would be date material. A black dress that had a skater skirt and a heart cut out on the back. 1) it was cute. 2) I had never worn it. 3) I'm pretty sure I took it from Alyssa and I never ended up returning it.

I looked in my full body mirror and smiled. I looked nice for once, and I could actually admit it. Usually, I felt like total crap, and probably looked like it too. I'd get compliments, and they'd make me happy, but I knew, myself, that they weren't true.

"Ariana, Nicholas is here." My mom said as she opened the door. "He's dressed nice too."

"I'll be down soon. I just have to put stuff in my purse," I replied with a smile.
