We went home right away after leaving the airport. My mom and dad were really tired considering the whole jet lag thing. They went straight to their room, and didn't even bother to take the luggage's out of the car. I didn't mind though. I didn't really feel like dragging up a heavy bag of luggage into my room, then throwing clothes into my closet. I'd much rather lay in my bed and actually let my body rest.
I took out my phone and scrolled through some of my missed messages, and some of my social networking notifications. I didn't even have a lot of notifications, but that was probably because it was way too early.
I didn't even have a text from Nick. I would expect one from him, considering he'd usually text me every second of the day.
"So stupid," I whispered as I threw my phone to the end of my bed. "He is so stupid."
NICKS POV
"Where's Ariana?" My mom asked as she barged into my room.
"Knock next time?" I mumbled. "And she's probably at home."
"I haven't heard from her, huh." She stated.
"Yeah, well, I don't know what her problem is."
"Did you just say that?"
"What?" I asked.
"You don't say that, Nicholas. What is your problem?" My mom grunted.
"Mom." I rolled my eyes.
She gave me a look, then looked at my unpacked luggage. "Fix your bags, don't leave them here. I don't want to see them here when I get back."
She slamed my door as she walked out, stomping down the hall into her own room. I could imagine her looking for something else to yell at my dad for, just because she was a bit heated. I wouldn't blame her, I mean, I do that all the time too. I probably got that from her, really.
I stood up, rubbing the back of my neck. Why did she care so much about Ariana?
ARIANAS POV
After pacing around my room, I decided to get out of my house and take a walk around the neighbourhood. There were too many thoughts in my head, and too many what if's and but why's.
I put on one of my old crew neck sweaters and my old vans before walking outside. I plugged my ear phones into my ears and put my phone on shuffle. All I could hear were the tunes of Midnight Memories.
Before I knew it, I was standing in front of Nick's house, breathing heavily with burning eyes.
Why was I crying? I had no idea. What was I crying over? I also had no idea.
For some reason, I ended up at his house, crying my eyes out, hoping that he'd run out and hold me in his arms.
I slowly walked up on the porch, staring at the door, contemplating whether or not to door bell.
NICKS POV
After unpacking my luggage, I went downstairs to make myself a sandwich. If I wasn't tired, I was hungry.
"Did you unpack?" My mom asked.
"Yes I did," I replied.
"Good," she smiled. "How are you feeling?"
"What? I'm fine."
"I know what's happening Nick, and it's okay if you feel sad or angry about-"
"Mom, I'm fine. Look, I'm making myself a sandwich, I'm gonna enjoy it... It's gonna be good."
"Don't do this to yourself again, Nick. Does Ariana know?"
"She will eventually," I lied.
I wasn't gonna tell her. Why would I tell her?
"Well, I think it'd be the perfect opportunity to tell her because she has been pacing back and forth on our parch for the past 10 minutes."
