The food came soon after we ordered, and we immediately dug in. Silence was spread upon us as we consumed the amazing diner food that was put in front of us.

"How is it?" The waitress asked as she skated by.

"Great," I replied with a smile.

"Perfect!" She exclaimed cheerfully as she skated back into the kitchen.

She soon came out with another tray of food and skated to a table that wasn't too far from ours.

"Since you were so curious about my dates and relationships, tell me about yours." I stated as I dipped my fry into the ketchup.

"You only really went into your dates. Not so much relationship," Nick stated. "I haven't been on many dates, to be honest with you."

"How many would you guess?"

"Maybe 5?" He shrugged, "I'm not a go out before dating kind of guy. I kinda start going on dates after I'm in a relationship."

"That explains this." I stated.

"Tell me about your relationships then. You know a lot about mine." He said with a slight chuckled.

"Hm.." I said out loud as I thought of something to say.

Was I really about to tell my current boyfriend about my past boyfriends? Who does that? Me apparently. On the bright side, he didn't seem like the 'easily upset over exes' type. Plus, he asked me to tell him, I didn't just bring it up.

"Well?" He asked as he took a bite of his chicken finger.

"Okay. My ex boyfriend's name is Nash. Anyway, we were really great friends for a long time, Then we both started developing feelings. I think everyone knew about these feelings except for us." I continued, "We ended up going on a date, then dating. It lasted for a few weeks, maybe a month? Things just weren't working out, so it ended."

"What wasn't working out?" Nick asked immediately.

"Him and I just didn't work out as a couple, I guess." I shrugged.

"How?"

"He was just really clingy and he wasn't as fun as he was when we were just friends. He seemed like a different person, personality wise. Don't get me wrong, he was, and still is super great. It's just that it didn't end up working."

"It took you a month to realize that?" He chuckled uncomfortably.

"It could've taken longer. It takes time to know if the person you're with is the right one." I stated.

NICKS POV

I can't believe I asked her to tell me about her ex boyfriend. I mean, who does that?

Apparently this guy was great and stuff. The only thing that separated them was his clingy-ness and his sudden personality change.

"It took you a month to realize that?" I chuckled.

"It could've taken longer. It takes time to know if the person you're with is the right one." She replied simply.

Was she trying to imply anything? If she was, she totally made her point, Maybe I was just being too paranoid. I decided to change the subject.

"We should hurry up here so we can go to the next destination." I said.

"Oh really? Great!" She smiled.

"Yeah, let's finish so we can go."

ARIANAS POV

We finished eating quickly, then made it out of the restaurant, leaving a $5 tip.

"Where to next?" I asked as I buckled my seat belt.

"Do you think I'm gonna tell you?" He laughed.

"You spoiled the restaurant surprise already. You'll probably end up telling me where we're going next." I winked.

"I can keep it in."

"We both know you can't."

He groaned, "Maybe I can if you just stopped asking me about it."

"Maybe I'd stop asking about it if you told me."

He laughed as he started the car. "You're kind of funny sometimes."

"All the time, you mean."

"Sometimes. I said sometimes," He winked as he pulled into the road.

"So is the next place the last destination, or what?" I asked.

"Yes ma'am. It's gonna take a bit longer to get there though."

"That's fine with me."

"Great." He smiled.

Somehow I found myself staring at his face again. It seemed as if everytime I'd look at him, there'd be something new. Not in a bad way. It was like discovering a treasure each time. Although you've discovered treasures a lot, when you find a new one, you still seem to get happy about it. I mean, it's a treasure.

I looked away quickly, because I found myself getting lost in the way his eyes focused on the road. I was liiterally lost in his eyes but I didn't mind.

It didn't take as long as I expected. Although, we weren't exactly on a road. It was as if Nick had a thing for unpopulated places. We were simply by a hiking trail. Well, kind of. It was kind of like those cliff things you'd see in the movies. You know, where the guy would bring the girl and they'd make out and stuff in the car. Then they'd end up getting caught by a ramger or something and they'd get busted.

Was Nick planning to make out with me? If he was, I totally wasn't ready for that. I mean, he's a great guy and all, but I can't imagine myself with my tongue down his throat. It made me cringe just thinking about it.

"We're not making out." I blurted out.

He laughed, "definitely not. I mean, unless you want to. That'd be totally cool with me."

"Of course it would. I''d rather not make out, Nick." I replied uncomfortably.

"I'm kidding. Anyway, just thought you might wanna come here and just look at the sky." He said as he rubbed the back of his neck. "I just saw how consumed you were in the nature when we made the first stop, and I decided to come here. I originally planned this date to only be those two surprises, but I just had to come here."

"You made the right choice," I whispered as I got out of the car.

I marvelled at the night sky. It was definitely better, and more raw than what I had seen earlier. I liked it a lot. The stars shone brighter, and the night sky seemed darker.

I got onto the hood of the car to sit beside Nick, he was already laying down. His arms supporting his head, and his legs hanging over the hood. I laid down too.

"I didn't know the sky could look like this." I whispered, "So beautiful."

The silence of the area made everything better. It was just the sound of nature, which was truly calming.

I could feel Nick's eyes staring at me. You know that feeling you get when you feel like someone was staring at you? I felt that as I stared up into the sky.

"Why are you looking at me?" I asked, not even looking towards him.

"I could've asked you the same thing when you were staring at me in the car," he replied simply.

"Oh," I whispered embarrassed.

"But, because of that I discovered two things." He stated.

I turned towards him and looked at him. The moon light cascaded on his face, causing some of his features to be illuminated.

"One, you can stare for a long time. I mean, if I didn't talk, you'd probably end up staring at me for the entire ride." He chuckled.

"Whats the second one?" I asked.

"Two, is that I really, really like you." He replied embarrassed. "It's like I could feel myself slowly falling for you. Little piece by little piece. Then finally, I fell for you as a whole. Slowly and carefully, but then all at once."
