My parents came home a few minutes before Nick planned to leave. My mom tried to convince him to stay the night, but Nick denied as he had work.

"Well, I'm working tomorrow, so I might not be able to come. It's a closing shift," Nick stated as he slid his jacket on.

"I won't be home anyway. My parents and I are going to the mall, then I'm going to my little cousins party to help out." I replied.

"So I'm not visiting tomorrow?" He asked.

"Well, if you wanna visit at 11, then feel free to," I joked.

"I'll just visit earlier the next day then," he smiled.

"It'll be a school day. We'll just see each other at school," I stated.

"I'll pick you up then?"

"You know what time, right?"

"Of course, 8:15am."

I smiled, "good."

"Have a good night Ariana," he stated as he opened the door.

"You too," I whispered as I let out a yawn.

"Get some rest," he stated as he placed a kiss on my forehead before walking out of my house.

"Drive safe," I yelled to him as he walked to his car.

He turned around and nodded before getting into his car.

"So much for starting over," my mom chuckled as she walked past me.

"Hey, I didn't do anything... He did," I defended myself.

"You two will be back together. I know it. You two just weren't meant to be apart," my mom stated as she walked up the stairs.

I smiled as I walked up the stairs as well, and into my room.

-

"Ariana, do you really need another white t-shirt? You have about 50 of those!" My mom stated as she looked into my shopping bag.

"The shirts here are comfy! And I got a black, grey and light pink one too!"

"You bought 5 of the same shirt, but different color?" My mom raised her brow.

"If I wear them all the time, it's worth it!"

"Whatever you say, honey."

"If I like it, then why not?" I smiled.

"Well, if you're done here, I'm done. Don't forget, we have to get to your cousin's. You do remember that you're helping out right?"

"Yeah, I know. I'm actually excited for it because I get to paint faces and stuff!" I exclaimed.

"And while you're doing that, I get to relax by the pool with the rest of the parents," my mom joked.

"I'm getting paid," I winked. "And yeah, we can leave now."

My mom smiled, ending the conversation. We immediately headed to the closest exit then walked through the almost full parking lot, towards our car. After putting my shopping bags in the trunk, I took a seat in the front and buckled my seat belt.

"Are you and Nick together yet?" My mom asked as she backed the car up.

"No! Mom, I told you this already... We're starting over." I stated with a small smile.

"Starting over, starting over..." She joked.

-

"So, you basically just need to wear this name tag, just in case someone needs you... That's it, really. Just don't mess up on face painting is what I can say, I guess?" My aunt stated as she handed me that sticker that read: 'Hello my name is...'
