"I had some time to review your letters, and I have chosen the ones I would like to have read out loud. Juliana, Carter, Cheryl, and Ariana I enjoyed your letter quite a bit. It would be amazing to have the letters read out loud. Juliana, please come up and read your letter."

Juliana wrote a letter to her favorite cousin who recently got married. Apparently Juliana wanted to move to California with her and her husband.

"-I want to move in with you and Finn. Seriously, I want to live in California with you two. You two are already so much like my parents, and I love you like I love my parents. I can't stand living here anymore. The whole scene is getting tired, you know? I mean, I guess you do know... Thats probably why you're moving, right? Basically, I'll just miss you way too much Rae. You're literally like my sister.. My best friend.-"

She got really emotional by the end of her letter. Next up was Carter who wrote a letter to his grandma who recently passed away.

"-You were my vision of strength and all things good in life. You were the best person to talk to, and the best person to listen to. I don't know why I didn't spend more time with you when I could. I regret it so much, grandy. I really hope you know how much I love you. I'm so sorry that I didn't visit you on your last day. I didn't know it'd be the last. I regret it every second of everyday. I just really wish you were back here with us because I miss you so much. I'm glad you don't have apin anymore though. I know you're up there smiling and laughing like you always used to do-"

A lot of people, including my teacher, started tearing up. It was strange that he wrote something like that. He didn't seem like the guy to be so... So deep. He seemed like your average jock who had a great, great life. Cheryl wrote her letter to ex boyfriend who cheated on her. It was quite strongly worded and angry, which surprised me because she was usually quiet.

"-I hope your new girlfriend is treating you bad. You don't deserve her, whoever she is. Actually, I hope that you do not have a girlfriend. You'll ruin another life and break another heart. So stupid and a horrible guy. I hope I don't ever see you or speak to you again.-"

Finally it was my turn. I took a deep breath before standing up and walking to the front of the class. I stood there, looking over at everyone before grabbing my letter from the front desk.

As if on que, Nick slowly walked in; his hands swinging and his face happy.

"Ariana, please start," my teacher stated as I watched Nick walk in. "Nice of you to finally join us once again, Mr. Mara. Take a seat."

"I have that letter writing assignment. I couldn't hand it in through the drop box, so I decided to just print it out."

"Perfect," she smiled, grabbing the paper from his hands.

I cleared my throat and looked at Nick then looked down at the letter. Although the letter was written to him, he was not supposed to know about it.Hey. I wasn't even supposed to read it out loud.

"Dear Nick," I whispered. "Hi, how are you?"

I looked up and looked around the room, specifically landing on the rather confused Nick sitting at the back of the class.

"It's been a while since I talked to you. I mean, we've exchanged small talk a few times but nothing to the extent that we did before. I've got to admit, your long conversations about football and video games did keep me somewhat awake when we used to talk on the phone for hours and hours." I took a deep breath and continued, "my mom misses seeing you at my house. She talks about you all the time... Especially when she makes that lasagna that you like. She always talks about how you love that damn cheesey lasagna. My dad is always saying how he needs you to come over so you guys can discuss sports. He really liked how you brought weird chip flavours whenever you'd visit. He still eats them on time to time when my mom isn't home."
