Chapter 11

Jerome's POV

"I love you, Jennifer Sadie Bazile Aceti," I say as we lay in bed. My arms are wrapped tightly around Jenny.

"I love you, too, Jerome Robert Aceti," she tells me.

I lean into her and kiss her. We start making out.

"I'm tired, I'm gonna sleep now, okay?" Jenny says.

"Okay," I say and we go to sleep.

We wake up the next morning and Jenny runs everywhere in the house.

"Woah! What the hell are you doing?" Adam says as I pass him and Alesa.

"Running!" she says.

"Why?" he asks.

"Because I'm no longer prego and I can, now!" Jenny says.

"Jenny, wait!" I yell. She comes to a stop.

"What is it?" she asks.

"Do you know where Lily is?" I ask. Adam and Alesa go into Adam's room.

"No, why?"

"She's not in her crib or in our room or anything."

"WHAT?!" she screams. "EVERYBODY GET UP HERE! NOW!"

"What's wrong?" Lilac asks.

"L-l-Lily is-is... Jerome I can't talk!" she says. She buries her face on my chest and starts bawling. I wrap my arms around her.

"Do any of you know where Lily is?" I ask.

"Oh, yeah. Mitch and I thought we would take a lot of pressure of you guys for the day and watch her for you," Lilac says.

"Y-y-you scared me to death!" Jenny says. She takes out her hand and slaps Lilac's cheek very hard.

Jenny and Lilac look at each other for about a minute. Lilac and Jenny both have wide eyes, shocked. Lilac turns to Mitch, her hand on her cheek, and they walk into their room. Jenny sprints down the stairs and disappears.

"Mitch, Lilac? It's Jerome," I say, knocking on their door.

"As long as Jenny's not with you, come in," Lilac says.

"Thanks. I jut wanted to thank you guys for taking Lily for the day. Thank you," I say.

"You're welcome. Jenny doesn't seem too happy about thay, though," Mitch says.

"Why did she slap me? I'm her best friend! Why would she do that?" Lilac says. Tears start rolling down here face.

"Probably because she didn't like that you guys freaked her out and scared her to death. I'm really sorry, Lilac, that she did that. It won't happen again, I know it," I explain.

"Okay. Where is she, anyways?" she asks.

"I don't know. I'm gonna go look for her, but I don't know," I say.

I walk out after thanking them again and search the entire house for her. I check the elevator, everywhere. Except for a few other places.

I knock on Quentin's door. I walk in and check his closet. Not here. I do the same with Jason's room. Not here. Finally, I knock on Adam's door.

"What?" Adam says.

"Come in," Alesa says.

I walk in and check his closet.

"Jenny! Come on," I say, picking up my crying wife and walking out of the room. We get back to our room. "What's wrong?"

"I slapped my best friend! I'll be back, I need to go apologize," she says and walks out of the room. I stand outside my room.

I hear Jenny knock on their door and Lilac comes out.

"I'm so sorry!" Jenny says.

"I accept your apology. Just don't do it again," Lilac says with a laugh while they both cry. They hug and cry together.

Mitch is standing outside their door and he gets my message. We start hugging for no reason.
