Just Another Day

Chapter 26

Lilac's POV

I get to the airport, Lily in hand. We board the plane. I got first class tickets. Lily sat in the seat next to me, the one by the window. I turned my phone on airplane mode and noticed I had gotten a text from Jerome. He said that Jenny got her hair cut, dyed and was going to change her name. I texted him back saying wtf. I started to text Mitch. I took a picture if me. He realized I was on a plane. He freaked out and told me to text him when I was landing and the he'd come pick me up.

There was a loud voice coming over the speakers. "We will now be taking flight. Please buckle your seat belts so we can take off. Thank you." The flight attended was a lanky brunette. Her eyes the color of the sea. Her hair short and curled to perfection.

I told Mitch I needed to go. He said to remember that as I was landing to tell him so he could pick me up.

The flight attendant stopped at my row of seats and asked, "Would you like anything?"

"Yes please. A pack of peanuts and a bottle of water."

"Here you go." She said handing me what I asked for.

"Thank you." I said. She walked on to the next row.

I pulled out my sketch book and started to draw. I decided to finish drawing the dress. Once I finished that I drew random things like a fish, I tried to draw Duke, and I drew a wedding cake. By the time I was done we were close to the airport. I texted Mitch saying that we were going to land soon. He said that he would be there when I got there. I put my stuff back into my bag. Lily was asleep. I grabbed her tiny hand and ran my thumb over it.

"Everyone, we will now be landing. Please do not take of your seat belts until we have fully landed. Thank you."

The plane slowly descended.

"Everyone, you may now grab you stuff and row by row get off the plane."

I stood up. I grabbed my luggage and Lily. The man in the row next to mine offered to carry my bag. I told him I had it. The people took forever to get off. Finally, I walked slowly down the steps. I walked as fast as I could into the building. I took a look around. I didn't see Mitch. I walked outside. I saw him standing there leaning up against the car. I ran as slow as I could over to Mitch. I put Lily on the floor and threw my bags down. I jumped into his open arms. My eyes filled with tears.

"I missed you so much." He said through kisses.

"I missed you too." I replied.

He gently put me back on my feet. I hugged him and laid my head on his chest.

"We should get home."

"We should."

I picked up Lily and put her in the car. I ran around to the passengers side and hopped in. Mitch got in the car and we sped down to the house. When we got there Jerome ran out of the house to grab Lily. Mitch walked over to my side. He grabbed my bags and my hand. We walked inside and up to our room. The bed was made, floor was swept, everything was dusted off and the closet was organized.

"You got bored didn't you?" I asked putting my stuff away.

"Yeah. I had nothing better to do and I couldn't record because I cried the last time I recorded with Jerome."

"Why?" I asked worriedly.

"I don't know really. I just got really sad." He shrugged. "Need help?"

"Sure."

He grabbed my dirty clothes and ran them down to the laundry room. I finished putting my stuff away. I pulled on a pair of pink yoga shorts and a bright green shirt. Mitch came running into our room, pushed me onto the bed and wrapped me in his arms.

"I love you." He whispered in my ear.

"Love you too." I said giving him a kiss.

We laid down on the bed. Duke laid down beside me. I petted his head and gave his nose a kiss. All three of us just laid on the bed together. Mitch and I cuddled up with Duke by my side. I started to fall asleep. I was extremely tired because I had to wake up very early and planes make me very tired. I felt Mitch give me a kiss. I was out.
