Just Another Day

Chapter 7

Jerome's POV

I storm out of the house and go back to the hospital. I end up staying the night in Jenny's room.

I hear my phone ring in the morning.

"Hello?" I say.

"Where the hell are you?" Mitch says over the phone.

"I spent the night in Jenny's hospital room," I say.

"Why did you storm out of the house?"

"Because, Mitch. I don't want to not please Jenny. I know Jenny and I know she wouldn't want us to be crying. Lilac crying made me start to tear up. I don't like when she cries over Jenny. It makes me feel like I have to, also."

"Jerome, come back."

"No. Sorry, I don't want to. I want to stay here with my wife."

"Jerome, you need to record or your fans will think you died."

"I'll send a tweet saying I'm not dead, I just need a break."

"Jerome, come on! Please. Come on, Biggums! We need you back here."

"For what?" I ask. Tears start spilling over and I think my voice cracked.

"Biggums, you're very important. Without you, we're like a million dead Quentins! Come on. We need you. Please."

"Okay. I'm coming home."

I get in my car after I kiss Jenny on the lips and Lily on the cheek. I drive home.

"FLUFFY!" Adam and Jason yell and they come up to me.

"Biggums!" Mitch says.

"I'm going up to my room. I'm gonna record," I say and go up to my room and record.

What am I gonna do today?" I wonder when I wake up in the morning. I know! To the pool!

I get in swimming suit and go down to the pool. I think of Jenny and Lily.

I'm a dad now. I've haven't really thought about that much. Where's Lily gonna sleep? We have the crib but where's she gonna sleep? We'll figure it out soon.
