Ch. 16 Just Friends

-MEGANS P.O.V-

We were in the car and on our way to Zach's. I was in the car with Andrea, Kian, and Connor. I knew Connor came just to make sure me and Zach don't get all close but I don't think he has anything to worry about. We pulled up to Zach's house and he looked amazing. It made me realize how much I use to like him. I opened my door when the car came to a stop and jumped out. "Zach!!!" I yelled. "Megan!" He said with open arms. I ran and jumped into his arms. He squeezed and put me down. "Your not mad at me?" He questioned. "Of course not! I was but I told you we would give us a try again. Well as friends of course." I said smiling. "That's a relief! I missed you." He said hugging me again. "I missed you too.." I said quietly. He was my everything when we dated. We did everything together. He was my first love. And I don't think he even realizes how much I loved him. "You look beautiful today." He said still hugging me. "Thank you, you look great too." I said blushing. "BEEEP!!" We heard behind us. We jumped and looked at the car. "Come on Meg! Let's go!" Kian yelled. I rolled my eyes at his anxiousness. I looked at Connor real quick and he had his head down looking at his phone. "Come on Zach." I said and grabbed his hand and pulled him to the car. We got in the back. Me in between Zach and Connor. Awkwarddd. I looked at Connor and he was still looking down at his phone. I tried to get a better look but all I saw was him texting Jc. I sighed and leaned my head on Zach's shoulder. This day is going to be stressful.

We arrived at Six Flags 45 minutes later. It was a drive consisting of me playing games with Zach. Singing with Andrea, texting Leah, and complaining about how hungry I was. When we got there I ran out of the car. "Come on Zach! We have to go get our tickets!!" I said excitedly. He shook his head and laughed at my childly behavior. "Meg wait!" Leah said dragging Ricky behind her. They would be a cute couple. I smiled to myself at the thought and kept running with Zach. When we got up to the ticket booth the guy looked about my age. He had brown shaggy hair and green eyes. "Hello." He said with a wink. "Hi." I said and giggled. Zach wrapped his arm around my waist tightly. "Hi can we have two tickets." He said with a straight face. "Anything for the beautiful lady." I blushed and looked down. He handed Zach the tickets. I reached into my pocket to get my money when Zach pulled my hand away. "Todays on me." He said with a smile. "Thank you." I said and walked over to Leah with my ticket. Zach walked with Ricky. Kian and Andrea of course walked together. Jc was walking with Connor and Trevor. "So whats up between you and Zach." She said smirking. "Nothing were just friends. What about you and Ricky?" Now it was my turn to smirk. "Well I honestly don't know. I like him but he hasn't asked me out. We're like you and Connor. Speaking of him whats up with you and him?" She said confused. "I mean I guess I still like him but I sorta still like Sam. I just wish Connor would ask me out already if he even likes me anymore.." I said looking at my shoes as we walked. "Don't worry everything will be fine Megs I know it will." Leah said as she hugged me. "Well what are we waiting for. Let's go ride some rides!" Ricky said as he and Zach came over to me and Leah. Me and Leah let go and laughed. "Zach turn around." I said. He turned around and knew exactly what I was thinking. "Jump on." He said. I smiled and jumped on his back as he ran to the first ride. Leah and Ricky held hands behind us and ran to the lines with us. Maybe this day won't be so bad after all.
