"What's going on, why is Alice crying?" Mason said as he looked around confused by the sudden silence.

I couldn't believe that the man that was standing in front of me was my father or that Mason was my brother, I couldn't believe it.

"Mason, this is Alice Pierce Wythman, she's your sister." Jacob said in a proud voice as he looked at me with a smile, there was not a single hint of doubt in his voice.

I stared at him silently; I really didn't know what to say.

What were you supposed to say when you meet your father after 18 years of not knowing who he was? What were you supposed to say?

"How are you sure that it's really her dad?" Mason asked him as he looked at me and then at his father.

"Because she looked just like your mom used to look, she is her living image." Jacob said as he looked at me with a smile.

I just stared at him; I couldn't break through the wave of surprise.

Jacob started to walk towards me and I stared at his eyes, they were identical to mine, there were the exact shade of stormy gray as mine. Jacob got closer to me and he pulled out my locket and opened it, he looked at the picture of my mum carrying me in her arms, he closed the locket and looked at me.

"It's really you." Jacob said before he wrapped his arms around me tightly, afraid that if he let go I would disappear.

When I felt the warmth of his arms around me I silently cried; I felt as if I was finally home, where I belonged.

How many times had I dreamt about this? How many times I wondered how it would be to meet my father, how many times had I imagined this, how many? Now that it was finally happening I couldn't believe it, somehow it felt surreal or fake, it didn't seem like it was really happening right now.

When Jacob broke the hug, I tried to steady my breathing as well as my heartbeat.

"Are you okay Doll?" Ryder asked me concerned, he looked at me as if I was the most fragile thing ever.

I nodded slowly.

"I just can't assimilate this, I had imagined meeting my father endless times and now that I have I feel as if I was still asleep." I said in a shaky voice.

"They never told you who I was, not even Eva mentioned me?" Jacob asked me puzzled, I could tell he was slightly hurt by this.

"No, every single time I would ask about you or mum I would get in trouble so I eventually learned to never touch that subject every again, but if you knew about my existence why didn't you come looking for me?" I asked him in a sad voice.

"I never stopped looking for you but you have to understand that I couldn't go to the Falcon Academy of England without exposing myself or worse exposing you to the hunters showing who you really were. They would've killed you if they had found out that you were a vampire." He said with a warm smile.

I looked at him and then a thought came into my mind.

"So, Mason is my older brother, but how could my mum have Mason and me if for humans it is hard to procreate with a vampire?" I asked him confused.

"It is, but your mom wasn't a human, she was a full vampire just like Mason, you and me. You are a full vampire, not a single drop of blood in your body is human, and you are a pure blood." Jacob said as he met my gaze and I looked at him shocked, had I heard him correctly?

"But if my mum was a vampire how could she be a huntress?" I asked him, that was clearly against the rules.

"That is just like your story; Sophie didn't know she was a vampire until she met me. Her whole life she had questioned herself why she was strong her, faster and better than any other human it was until she met me that she found out that she was a vampire. The gem that you are carrying around your neck is the gem that used to belong to your mother; I guess that before she was killed she gave it to you." Jacob said in a sad voice, I understood his pain, I had lost a mother, but I had not met her, yet he had lost his wife, his soul mate.
