As I tried to attack Antonio he blocked me and threw me across the room making my back collide against the wall.

I gave a small groan in pain as I tried to get up.

"Alice, are you alright?" Peter said as he rushed to my side and helped me up.

I ignored Peter's question, all I could think of was about that obnoxious smirk that Antonio had in his face; he was really enjoying all of this.

"How do you exactly do it Alice? How where you able to convince all those male hunters to betray everything for you? It wasn't just you and your charms, what did you do to them? Is this some sort of vampire control?" Antonio asked me.

I looked at him and noticed that the door that led to the roof was right behind him and he was blocking my only way out, I needed him to move away.

"I didn't do anything to them, I just told them the truth; the truth about how the Academies and the Association is based on nothing but lies. All we have been told about the vampires and Anna Falcon have been complete lies; we have been lied at our whole lives." I told him with a low snarl.

Antonio laughed.

"Do you really think that people are actually going to believe you and not the Association?" Antonio said mocking me.

"I have proofs that will help me besides I have the complete support of two members of the Association, Mathew and Cassandra they both are on my side." I told him as I met his gaze.

Antonio smiled as he got near us.

"Too bad that in a few minutes they will be dead just like you, I hate to do this to you Alice but you are making me have no choice." Antonio said before he attacked us.

Both Peter and I blocked his attack, Peter knocked Antonio down and restrained him.

"Go Alice I'll hold him back!" Peter told me as he tried to keep Antonio down.

I opened the door, entered and closed the door locking it so Antonio couldn't go after me. I went up the stairs and opened the door that led straight to the roof, as I stepped outside of the roof I noticed Ryder who was tied up against the North tower.

"Ryder! Ryder, what are you doing here?" I said as I rushed towards him.

"Doll, don't; get out of here!" Ryder said as he struggled to be free.

"I'm not leaving you here Ryder, we have to get out of here as soon as possible, the vampire rebels are attacking the Academy and I'm sure they're after us as well." I told him as I pulled out my dagger and tried to grab the thick ropes that were restraining him but as soon as I touched the ropes I jerked my hand away as I was burned by the vervain that was soaked in the ropes.

I shook my head and grabbed the ropes even if it burned my hand and started to cut the ropes.

"No, Doll, you have to leave, you don't understand this is a trap!" Ryder said before a pair of hands yanked me away from him making me fall to the ground.

"I thought you weren't going to show up Alice but I knew you would come back for your dear Vampire Prince." The Headmistress said as she came out from behind the North tower with Claire, Antonio's sister.

Nastasia walked towards Ryder and traced a line below his neck with a dagger that made a thin cut in his neck.

"Get away from him!" I yelled as I got up and started to walk towards her but two guys grabbed my arms restraining me, it was Dan and Jonathan, the both had been my tutors' years ago, and now they were doing this.
