(Nicholas on top)
I was literally pissed off and Andrew knew that since he was clearly using it to his advantage.
"For a second Alice I thought that you were worth it, but I see that you don't have to takes to be one of us." Andrew said as he looked at me.
"One of you and what is that, a repulsive life-sucking parasite?" I asked him.
"Look who's talking, you're also a vampire. Don't forget that." Andrew said as he got near me.
"You're wrong, I'm not like you; I do not kill for pleasure or go around turning people into vampires." I said as I glared at him.
"You're right about that Alice, you're not like us. You're just a pathetic huntress that tries so hard to protect humanity and do you know how they will repay you? You can't be a hero for them Alice, no matter what you do you will always be an abomination, a monster, a vampire to them and at the end they will try to kill you and they won't stop until they succeed." Andrew said trying to anger me more.
I smiled at him.
"Does it look like I care? I will do anything that it takes to protect the people that I love and if one of those things is killing you I will gladly do it, that way you won't be able to turn any more humans into vampires for fun." I told Andrew.
Andrew started to laugh.
"For fun, you think I do this for fun? Alice, you are clearly naïve when it comes towards the vampire world, even if you kill me you won't be able to stop the others. We have created an army, an army that will kill all the hunters, kill the Vampire King and will take over the world, too bad you can't be part of it any longer." Andrew said before he launched towards me.
I punched Andrew and pushed him against the wall breaking a small picture frame that was on the wall.
I was clearly stronger without the gem and the adrenaline that currently rushed through my veins was insane. Andrew got off the wall, picked me up and threw me across the room.
It was the evaluation combat all over again, I was that student trying to defeat the graduated hunter only that this time I was no longer a student, I was a huntress who was fighting off a vampire and this time not only my life was in danger but it was also Nicholas' and Claire's life.
Andrew threw me against the wall again and I felt a sharp pain in my abdomen, I saw how my shirt was ripped and how there was a thick cut across my stomach. Andrew had a few drops of my blood in his hand; he brought his hand to his lips and with a smirk tasted my blood.
"That's it!" I said furious as I grabbed the wooden stake I had placed inside my knee-length boots and launched towards Andrew.
It took a couple of more hits and injuries to my body before I stabbed his heart with the wooden stake. I got up breathless and stared at Andrew's lifeless body, it was already turning cold.
The door swung open and someone threw me across the room, I landed on the stone hard floor after I had hit the bed head and saw how now my stake was out of my reach.
"What did you do?" Gates said as he entered the room.
I looked up and saw the vampire that had threw me, I felt a sore pain in my jaw where he had punched me and I could feel the thin line of blood dripping from my mouth down to my chin.
"He attacked me; one of us had to die. So, I decided that it was better him than me." I said as I wiped off the blood from my chin, my mouth tasted like metal now.
