I mentally cursed myself; I knew I had to be more careful.

"I asked you a question Alice, what are you doing here at this hour? You told those two vampires Kaley and Jayla that they couldn't sneak out in the night to the section that is off limits, that also applies for you as well." She said coming near me.

I turned around and looked at her.

"I can explain this." I said as I hided the folder behind me.

"Then explain me, but I also want to see what you are hiding behind your back." She said as she followed my hands.

I gave a sight.

"Eva, the life of everyone I love is in danger now." I told her with pleading eyes.

"What do you mean?" Eva asked me confused.

I pulled the papers out of the folder and showed them to her.

"All of us have been followed the last past weeks but that is not what bothers me now, Eva did you know that Anna Falcon was my grandmother?" I asked her reading her gaze.

Eva looked around before she looked at me meeting my gaze.

"We can't talk here Alice, it's too dangerous. We should talk another time." Eva said in a quiet voice.

She was trying to avoid me.

I shook my head nearly not believing it.

"Eva, you knew, you did!" I said accusing her.

Eva gave a sight.

"Yes, I have known this whole time and I kept it a secret. Your mother found out about it when she met your father, only your mother and I knew about this your father never knew and he still doesn't, I oversaw the birth certificates of Mason and yours when it came to registration both of you after you were born. I also took care of your mother's certificate but afterwards the attack I guess they burned down or some vampires stole them." Eva said in a calm voice.

I shook my head.

"You're wrong about that Eva." I said as I looked at her.

"What do you mean?" Eva asked me as she slightly frowned lost my words.

"The Headmistress had them; Eleanor got a hold of them before she was murdered." I said as I thought of Eleanor's braveness.

Eva pursed her lips.

"Alice, please go back to bed, right now is not the best moment to talk." Eva said dismissing me.

I looked at her with my jaw open.

"But Eva, you can't-." I started to say before she cut me off.

"Don't forget to take the papers with you." Eva said before she left me there alone in the hallway.

I gave a sight in frustration before I turned around and headed to my bedroom.

I got to my bedroom and closed the door carefully so I wouldn't wake up Ryder.

"Where were you?" A voice said behind me.

I jumped startled dropping the folder of the papers on the floor. I turned around and looked at him.

"Ryder, you scared me." I told him as I started at him.

His dark hair was messy from the bed, it gave him a lovely boyish aspect that I loved, he was only wearing the light blue pajama bottoms Charles had let him barrow.
