"A Conversation"

"Hey, wake up,"

I could feel something poking my face.

"Hey, hey wake up. I'm bored. I've been waiting for far too long,"

Am I dead? Why do I hear a familiar whiny voice?

"Ouch. That's rude to think of me as whiny,"

I sure as hell didn't say it out loud. What the fuck.

"You're as vulgar as always,"

My flips open in a second and I'm looking at a blue sky. I can feel grass underneath my hands. The wind is blowing and besides me, there is a glittering lake. I blink a couple of times as I try to remember what happened.

Wait a second.

I got kidnapped, right? How the heck am I not chained up right now?

"Well because this is just a dream," The voice replies.

Whoa. I'm sure that I didn't say that out loud.

"Yeah, you didn't," The voice answers.

I quickly sit up straight and my eyes goes wide open as I look at the oh-so-familiar figure in front of me. Then my head starts getting dizzy.

"Don't blame it on me. You got dizzy because you got up too fast,"

"Wha- wha. I thought you said this is a dream,"

"Yeah it's a dream but don't ask me how this thing works. How should I know anyway?"

"Wow, says the person invading my dream," I say sarcastically.

"Wow, says the person who took over my body,"

My mouth clamps shut as I stare at him blankly. I don't know how to reply but then he suddenly laughs.

"Oh, the look on your face is priceless!" He says.

I squint my eyes at him but don't comment further. He starts holding back his laughter and starts giggling instead. The word giggles always reminds me of that time with Ryan. Urgh.

"Wow, you really hate losing,"

I lift a brow at him but don't speak.

"I could see the flash of memories and that scowl on your face says a lot on what you think about it," He continues and I roll my eyes at him.

"Don't you roll your eyes at me, mister," He scolds like a mother.

The two of us engulf in silence but then we suddenly burst into laughter. The atmosphere feels as if we have known each other for so long. It feels as if we are brothers.

"We sort of are," He speaks again.

This time I look at him with all the seriousness.

"We're actually star twins. Twins born on the same day and at the same time,"

My eyebrows knit together as I become confused to what he just told me.

"How did you even know? I don't think I know when your birthday was,"

"Of course I know stuff. Somebody actually came and explained everything to me...

"Afterwards I stayed because I still have some lingering feelings but I see now that it is unnecessary," He finishes with a sad smile.

"What was it?" I ask worriedly.

"I was afraid my family would be sad without me but now that you're here, there's nothing to be worried about," Tears well up in his eyes but they have yet to fall.
