"Open Wounds"

I feel a pressure on my head so I look up the sky. Nothing happened so I thought it was nothing but then something wet falls on my cheek. I hope it's not bird poop or something cause it will be gross. I wipe the spot and I look at my hand.

It's water.

It's going to rain soon.

I turn my head towards Ryan who's still as a stone. He hasn't moved after he stopped shaking a while ago. The two of us sat in silence but now I just want to get out of the forest before it rains cats and dogs.

I crawl closer to him. I nudge his shoulder to get his attention but he still doesn't move.

It's starting to drizzle and I know we need to get out before it rains heavily.

I shake Ryan's body but he still doesn't budge and for some reason, I'm starting to get pissed. I get up from my crouching position and start to kick him.

"What the hell!" Ryan finally turns to look at me. He covers his face for a moment because the sun probably blinded him.

My mouth forms a pout and I have my arms crossed. The anger still hasn't disappear so I kick him again.

"Stop that!" Ryan grabs my leg to stop it from swinging and pushes himself to an upright sitting position.

"What do you want?" He scowls at me.

"It's going to rain soon," I roll my eyes at him.

"Oh,"

He gets up from the ground. He pats around his body to remove the dirt and dust from his wrinkled suit. He straightens up his tie and starts to walk out the forest.

He turns around when he notices I'm not following him. His hand goes through his hair and he sighs. I give him a look with one brow raised with my arms still hugging my body.

"Come on," He says while using his head to gesture towards the exit. He's also giving me a half-smile.

This time, I'm the one who sighing. He looks like a lost puppy and it kind of- maybe just a little bit, makes me feel bad about kicking him earlier. When I finally make a move to walk towards him, he turns around and starts to walk back to the cemetery entrance.

I follow him silently.

It doesn't take long to reach his car since he's parked at the furthest end from the cemetery. I notice that the cemetery is empty. Everyone probably has gone back without us.

Ryan opens the passenger seat next to the driver's and gestures me to go in by shaking his head.

I mumble thanks and duck my head before I go in. Ryan replies me with just a smile as he closes the door. He jogs to the driver side and swiftly enters the car. He turns to me and I could see he's trying to hide the pain but it's evident in his eyes.

"Wear your seatbelt," He says in a casual but concerned voice.

He looks away and starts the car engine. The car purrs and somehow I let out relaxed sigh because I love the sound of it. Ryan chuckles a little and looks at me with his lips crooked to one side.

His smile disappears after a few second but his expressions are still soft.

"Do your parents know where you are?" Ryan questions me.

"Yeah, I texted them in the woods a while ago,"

"Hmm... Weird,"

"What is?"
