The bodyguard ↑
"Easy As A B C"
I am all out of breath by the time I reach the park.
I mutter a curse under my breath. I overestimated this body. I'm already so tired. This body is way out of shape. I guess I have to take it slow. Even when I was in my old body, I wouldn't be this tired if I ran this far.
Actually, I'm just guessing because the only exercise I did was in bed. I scrunch my face as I remember I could go for many hours without feeling tired. This run is the death of me.
Okay, obviously not but still, it tires the hell out of me.
I almost fall but the guy catches me. I say thank you softly cause I don't have the energy to talk. He brings me to the nearest park bench and the moment my bottom touches the bench, I let out huge sigh of relief. It gains a laugh from the guy.
I narrow my eyes at him and this time I'm looking at him carefully. He's probably Asian.
This might sound racists but I haven't met a lot of Asians so can't really blame me but he has small squinty eyes. He also has a round face shape and small but full lips. He doesn't have the pale white skin but rather a tanned one. I guess the bodyguard jobs make him stay under the sun long enough to have dark skin.
"Shall I get you some drinks?" He asks with concern in his voice.
I smile and nod because I really don't feel like I can talk right now. He doesn't disappear from my sight because there's a vending machine nearby. He also glances to look at me once in a while to make sure I'm still there.
When he notices I'm not moving any inch, I see a smile forming on his face and his focus turns to the machine.
He probably knows I wouldn't be running off somewhere without him knowing. Well, I would if I could but my body is literally stiff right now. I can't even move even if I want to.
He hands me an apple juice and I gladly take it. After taking a sip of the drink, I let out another sigh of relief and proceed to drink it all. Once I'm done, I realise he has been standing next to me which makes me feel awkward cause the bench can fit two grown men.
"Sit down. You're making me feel awkward here," I say knowing that I gained a small amount of energy back.
"Can't. You're the boss and I'm here to protect you," He answers while checking out our surroundings.
"Well, since I'm the boss, shouldn't you be listening to me?" I say while raising a brow at him.
He doesn't comment and I was about to pull him down next to me but he slowly makes himself comfortable next to me.
"What's your name?" I ask curiously.
He looks at me like he's contemplating whether he wants to answer me or not. I roll my eyes and land my gaze to the scenery in front of us.
"Park Do-Hyun,"
I am actually surprised that he answered my question.
"How... do I call you? And is that Japanese or something?"
"You can just call me Do-Hyun and no. It's actually Korean," He replies and I feel like my face redden since I made a mistake in his origin.
I don't really know what to say so we sit in a comfortable silence.
After a while, he asks me if I want to run back to home and I say "NO" immediately. I'm not as tired as before but I don't think I can go through that again. He takes out a phone from his pocket and calls someone.
