"It's Jasper!" Both Ruby and Sapphire said in unison, though Ruby said it worryingly and Sapphire said it cheerfully.
Sapphire started walking to the door. Ruby went after her, grabbing Sapphire's wrist. Sapphire turned around to be met with Ruby's worried face.
"Ruby, what's wrong," Sapphire asked.
Ruby slowly removed her hand from Sapphire's wrist.
She chuckled, "n-nothing. I had a question but-- Nevermind! I-It was a stupid question anyway." Sapphire opened her mouth but before she could speak, the knocking of the door echoed through the sanctuary.
Sapphire opened the door and Jasper was at the door, smiling. It was definitely the Jasper that Ruby knew. The intimidating look she had was hidden with that hidden evil smile. Ruby clenched her fists and growled silently.
"Hello, Jasper," greeted Sapphire.
Jasper let out a small laugh, "you are so small. It feels like I'm talking to a blueberry." Both Jasper and Sapphire started giggling to themselves.
Ruby was in the background, watching silently. Her face grimaced and she tried her best not to express her exasperation by breaking or burning something.
"Bye, Ruby!" Sapphire waved, snapping Ruby out of her little angry thoughts.
"Wait, where are you going?" Ruby asked. She needed to make sure Sapphire and Jasper don't go anywhere where they are alone. If Sapphire went alone with Jasper to any place, she would be in great danger.
"We are just going on a walk throughout the town," she replied. Gems are always walking around outside, so there is not a chance they could be alone.
Ruby let out a sigh of relief. A small smile formed on her face. "Okay, have fun!"
Sapphire smiled and closed the door. As soon as the door closed, Ruby let out a small scream of rage. Without thinking, she punched the wall as hard as she could causing the sanctuary to tremble. Her breathing was extremely uneasy and her anger was uncontrollable at this point.
Amethyst felt and intense vibration. Considering the fact that Amethyst has seen and heard Sapphire talk to Jasper, she could imagine how Ruby felt. She opened the door to see a burning Ruby.
"Did you see Jasper," Ruby asked.
"Yeah, I saw her. When she came, she threatened to shatter me if I didn't let her talk to Sapphire. Did she see you?" Amethyst disclosed, rolling her eyes.
"I don't think she did. She clearly hasn't changed. Of course! Sapphire is brainwashed just like we were back on Earth," Ruby muttered, mostly to herself than to Amethyst.
"Argh! Why can't Sapphire see that?! I can't believe that Sapphire trusts Jasper more than me! She knew me for almost about a month now and it's all about Jasper! Just Jasper, Jasper, Jasper!" Ruby raged. She stopped to take a breath and calm down a bit.
Amethyst couldn't help but let a snorted snicker escape her lips.
"Oh man, it's so obvious you have feelings for Sapphire," Amethyst snickering started to come out as laughs.
Ruby blushed and hid her face. "Okay, okay. I really like talking to Sapphire and all...and yeah, she's really cute and..." Amethyst smirked, putting her face closer to Ruby's in a teasing way.
"Leave me alone," Ruby giggled, pushing Amethyst away.
"Anyways, back to Jasper. I may be saying some of this stuff out of jealousy, but...I dunno. I feel like Jasper is planning something. Something bad," Ruby admitted.
"Hey, I feel you. Jasper can't just be nice to Sapphire without attempting to possibly shatter her. That's what happened to us. Jasper barged into our lives acting all nice and sweet and what did she do? She took away the one we loved the most," Amethyst said.
