Ruby is sitting on a chair, reading a book. Her eyes often found their way to Sapphire. Sapphire was running a brush through her long hair. Ruby's eyes constantly kept jumping from her book to Sapphire. She looked at Sapphire one more time before finally keeping her eyes on her.

"Where are you even going?" Ruby asks, setting her book down.

"I'm going to go on a short mission with Jasper. Yellow Diamond called her in to plan how we are going to travel to Earth. It's a good thing they don't need to use my future vision," Sapphire chuckled.

Ruby closed her book and glued her eyes to Sapphire.

"Why is that a good thing," she questioned.

"My future vision hasn't been working well. Actually, it hasn't been working at all," confessed Sapphire. She grabbed her hair, struggling to wrap it into a bun.

"Do you know why?" Ruby asked, tilting her head.

Sapphire glanced at Ruby in the mirror when she did. She always found it cute when Ruby tilted her head whenever she was confused or when she was asking a question.

"I don't exactly know why, but I do know when it started happening. It was when I first met you, actually," Sapphire began.

Ruby's eyes widened. She started listening closely.

She continued, "ever since I met you, my future vision hasn't been working. When we first starting to get to know each other, I could see possibilities and paths to the future. As soon as we grew closer, my future vision became...unpredictable, per say. I knew my whole life, but ever since you entered it, everything changed. You made everything much more interesting and you made me view life in a whole different way"

A small blush formed on Ruby's face. She always loved it when Sapphire talked highly of her. It made her feel like she was more than just another Ruby.

"See, I'm unpredictable and I change everything. That's how you know I'm the only person you need," Ruby said a joking way.

Sapphire rolled her eye but smiled.

"Well, it's true you are quite unpredictable," Sapphire pointed out.

"You say 'quite' quite a lot," Ruby jested.

"Really, Ruby?" Sapphire giggled.

Ruby opened her mouth to speak but was interrupted by the sound of the doorbell. Sapphire sighed, giving up on putting her hair in a bun. She released her hair from her tiny hands. Ruby watched as her hair fell flawlessly over her shoulders. Her blush increased as she looked away from Sapphire's beauty. Sapphire noticed this and smiled to herself.

'You have to take this to the level. Show her that she means more than a friend to you,' Sapphire mentally told herself.

Ruby stood up from the chair as Sapphire opened the door to her room. They stepped out of her room and headed towards the entrance.

"You really don't know why your future vision is unpredictable?" Ruby asked, trying to get the image of Sapphire releasing her hair out of her head.

Sapphire shook her head, "I have a small idea of why it is unpredictable, but let's just conclude with future vision being a really complicated subject to discuss."

She opened the door and the two gems walked outside. Sapphire stood next to Jasper, greeting her. Ruby stood next to Amethyst, glaring at Jasper. Amethyst nudged Ruby.

"No hello," she asked.

Ruby rolled her eyes and punched her arm playfully.

"Are you ready to go? Yellow Diamond is waiting for us. She may not be your Diamond, but she still has control over all of Homeworld, so we must hurry." We can't disappoint her," Jasper informed.
