My cat kept attacking my hands while I typed this, so sorry for any mistakes, heh!

Ruby noticed that Sapphire's hair was away from her eye. Oh, how she wanted for Sapphire to wake up just so she could see her beautiful eye. Ruby mentally slapped herself at her thoughts.

"N-no! I-I'm still mad at her!" Ruby whisper-screamed to herself.

She took another peek at sleeping Sapphire. Her hair was messy and she looked exhausted despite being asleep. Still, Ruby saw her as a sleeping beauty. Her trembling seemed to be worsening. Ruby bit her lip, concerned clear on her face. She sighed, walking closer to her bed. She carefully cupped one side of Sapphire's face. She didn't react to this. Ruby stared at her for a bit, wanting nothing more but to just lean in and kiss her. She didn't want to do that while Sapphire was sleeping. It seemed as if she was taking advantage of her since she was doing it without consent. So instead, she carefully got on the bed. Hesitantly and delicately, she wrapped her arms around Sapphire's sleeping frame. She felt Sapphire relax under her touch. She looked down at her lover, kissing her forehead and hugging her a bit tighter. She stayed like that until she felt Sapphire fully relax. Hesitantly and carefully, Ruby removed her arms from her waist. She sighed walking out of the room to look for Amethyst. Ruby looked in the rooms, the outside of the sanctuary, upstairs and downstairs.

No Amethyst.

After a while of trying to look for Amethyst, Ruby gave up. Maybe the reckless gem just left somewhere.

She sighed, "maybe I'll just go on a walk to clear my mind."

Ruby stepped outside and heard a warp pad activate. Her eyes met with a relieved Lapis.

"Ruby," she cried out, running towards her and pulling her into a hug.

"I was so worried about you. Amethyst told me that you've been poofed and that your gem was cracked. I was so scared that'd maybe you shattered, but she told me that a Rose Quartz she knew had healing powers and I felt so relieved but still frightened because, c'mon, you poofed and..." Lapis paused to breathe.

"I didn't want to believe it at first, but she showed me your gem, but you're okay now! Everyone is okay...right?" Lapis ended her rambling.

"Yes, everyone is okay...I think. I got healed, pretty sure Sapphire's wounds healed too. I don't know if Jasper will return to hurt us or not. I hope not and I highly doubt it, but who knows..." Ruby replied.

"Also, have you seen Amethyst around?"

"The last time was when she was taking your gem back to Sapphire's sanctuary."

Ruby sighed for what seemed like the one-hundredth time today.

"Are you mad at Sapphire?" Lapis asked.

Ruby answered, "of course, I am! If she had listened to me, we wouldn't be in this mess! Chances are when she wakes up I'm going to end up forgiving her anyway."

Ruby huffed, crossing her arms.

"I can't really argue with that, but maybe try talking it out when she wakes up."

Lapis smiled at Ruby, patting her shoulder before flying off.

Sapphire woke up, her hair a poofy mess.

"First good nap in a..." Sapphire's voice trailed off when she noticed Ruby's gemstone was gone.

She felt happy but afraid at the same time. Happy, because the love of her life is back. Scared, because the red gem was mad at her, of course. Why wouldn't she be? Scared was something the blue gem was feeling, but it just didn't seem to fit in.

Guilty.

She definitely felt guilty for not listening to Ruby in the first place.

Sapphire's mind wandered somewhere. What if Ruby hasn't reformed yet? What if Jasper broke in and had taken Ruby's gemstone? Who knows?! Sapphire panicked, quickly getting out of bed. She ran downstairs but came to a stop when she saw Ruby sitting, reading a book with a blue cover. (Geez, I wonder what book that is.)

Her breathing hitched as she quickly scurried up before Ruby could see her.

She was anxious.

Ruby was going to be mad at her. What if she didn't forgive her?

"It's better to deal with this now and get it over with," Sapphire whispered to herself.

She took a deep breath before slowly walking down the stairs. Ruby would be reasonable. She can't stay mad at her forever. They just need to talk things out. Sapphire stopped at the bottom of the stairs, her body feeling tense. Ruby still hasn't looked up from her book. Sapphire cleared her throat, getting Ruby's attention. Sapphire nervously smiled, but Ruby kept glaring at her. It wasn't until now Sapphire realized her hair wasn't in front of her eye. She jumped, swiftly ruffling her bangs back over her eye. She looked at Ruby, embarrassingly. Ruby's eyes narrowed on her. She scowled before going back to reading her book.

'Yep, she's furious for sure...just not showing it,' Sapphire thought to herself.

She sat down next to Ruby, staring at her before speaking up.

"So, what're you reading?" Sapphire asked.

Ruby replied harshly, "you can read the cover."

She never made eye contact once while speaking. Sapphire looked at the book cover. The words read, 'Together' with some little text about some lame fanfiction.

Sapphire looked down at her lap, sighing.

"Look, I'm sorry. I should've listened to you and--"

"Yeah, you should've," Ruby seethed.

Sapphire ignored and kept going, "this whole situation is all my fault--"

Ruby scoffed, "Yeah, it is!" She said in a tone that made it seem like the most obvious thing in the world.

"Well, it was just a mistake! If you would just list--"

"A mistake? A mistake?!" Ruby began, her voice raising with every word she said.

Sapphire flinched at the tone of Ruby's voice.

"Don't expect me to sugarcoat this for you, Sapphire! I literally fuck--flipping told you that Jasper was a threat. You decided not to listen to me! You decided to keep going out with her anyway after everyone told you how dangerous she was. We were specific enough for you to understand that you shouldn't be messing around with her, but you went on and did anyway! So, no! It was not a mistake, it was your choice to ignore everyone's warnings!" Ruby snapped.

"Y-you're r-right. If I h-h-have j-just l-listened in the f-first p-p-place, we w-wouldn't be in this m-m-mess..." Sapphire stammered.

Tears threatened to spill from her eye. Ruby noticed and her facial expression softened. She sighed, pulling Sapphire closer.

"If you feel like crying, just let it out," Ruby softly said.

Sapphire was taken back by this, but jumped onto Ruby's lap, nonetheless. She dug her face into The red gem's chest. Ruby soothed her hair in a comforting way while her lover sobbed into her chest.

"It's okay, Sapphy. The situations over. Everything is fine now," Ruby mumbled into Sapphire's ear. (If gems even have ears, I'm so confused on this.)

Ruby kept mumbling sweet words to Sapphire as she calmed down and her sobbing became quieter. Ruby placed her thumb under her chin, lifting her face up. With her free hand, she moved Sapphire's bangs out of the way so she could look into her eye. Her cheeks were puffy and her eye was red. Ruby admired her looks anyway.

"So beautiful," Ruby muttered.

She brought her into a passionate kiss. It wasn't as long as their first one, but it was more passionate than the first one if that was even possible. They broke the kiss, slightly missing the feeling. Sapphire smiled at Ruby. She wrapped her small arms around Ruby.

"Love you..."
