Jack was sitting criss cross on the bed as he read through a book. Jack wasn't normally one for reading, well, at least he wasn't now days. However, Mark had brought along a favorite book of his. Quote by quote it was 'life changing'. So far Jack was a few chapters in and he was absolutely enthralled. The book 'The Outsiders' so far looked nothing less than spectacular.

"Its good right?" Mark looks up from a piece of paper. He was drawing something in a post it note.

"Huh? Oh yeah," Jacks smile grows and he folds down the page he was on. "Absolutely life changing," he quotes as he leans back on the pillows. Mark grins and turns back to his drawing, continuing to talk.

"You know I the book back in middle school and have read it twenty times and counting since then. I wasn't a big reader, still not really, but this book... this book was something special," Mark says as Jack watches his pencil fly across the page. He made it seem effortless.

"You like this town?" Jack asks suddenly as he stares down at the book cover, tracing his fingers along Ponyboys face. Mark chuckles and turns to Jack.

"Would have left by now if it wasn't for you Jackaboy," Mark motions to his face and Jack rolls his eyes. His face is looking better but he has a large scab on his forehead and a little swelling.

"Well I'm glad your here," He states to which Mark raises and eyebrow.

    "Oh yeah?"

"Yeah," Jack says and then he grins a little bit, "impudens es leno," Mark groans and throws a pencil at Jack.

    "I don't speak that,"

"It's not a that it's Latin. I'm fluent," Jack says proudly. Mark raises an eyebrow.

"Why?" Jack looks down and turns a grimace into a smile," If its not to much of me asking?" Jack shakes his head no and swallows.

"My dad taught it to me after he learned it from his mother as a child. He said that she knew the language was dying and that she never wanted to see no one ever speak it again. So, she taught it to my dad and his sister who taught it to me,"

"So what did you say?" Mark asks thinking back to the comment. Jack grins and shakes his head. "What come on! Thats unfair!"

"Learn latin pretty boy," Jack smirks as he crawls himself from bed and over to Mark. He flips his head and begins to straddle his legs over Mark. He drawn his fingers down Marks neck slowly before he flips them up. Mark looking straight at him licks his lips. Peaking over his shoulder Jack sees that there's a cartoonish picture of himself on the desk.

"Wow that's really good," He whispers leaning so close he can count the stubble on Marks chin. He flutters his eyelashes and draws his hand up, placing it on the side of Marks head. His breath pushes against Mark and then he grins before lifting himself away. Marks head jerks up in a confused haze. "Bye bitch I'm taking a shower," Jack smiles lifting his hoodie off and throwing it to the floor. He hears Marks distant groans of disapproval as he flicks on the water in the bathroom.

The water is lukewarm at best and there is barley any soap but in the shower Jack thinks. He thinks about Mark, his Dad but mostly his missed chance at getting away. He so badly just wanted the opportunity to run but alas he was poor as fuck. Always poor as fuck. Poor as fuck now, poor as fuck forever. Jack chuckles bittersweetly. That's pretty much his anthem. Scrubbing down his hair he savors the thought of taking a shower and not the agonizing fear of taking too long. He always hated showers at his house but he seems to be loving this one.

Coming out of the shower Jack had on his dirty pants but planned on raiding Mark for a shirt. Jack grins lightly as he imagines wearing a shirt that smells like him.

Coming out bare chested he stopped as soon as he opened the door. Mark was sitting there with those taunting five pages. His eyes scanning the pages, holding them lightly and reading over them. He was thumbing over the pages over and over. Jack almost couldn't move.

"What are you doing with those?" Jack says coming over and ripping them from his hands finally braking his trance. Mark looks up in awe.

"You're going right? You have too," Jack turns to the trash and tosses them into it.

"I can't," He mutters through clenched teeth.

"What why? You got in! Out of twenty students you got in,"

"$120,000 dollars Mark! I can't pay for that! For gods sake I get state lunches and I've had these clothes for years. I don't eat sometimes because I don't have enough to splurge on anything more than ramen and I've eaten that for months. Mark I want to so bad but I can't afford that. I just can't," his voice goes form angry to practically nonexistent. Mark walks over and hugs him. Squeezing him as if he never wants to let go.

"I'll make sure you get to go," Mark whispers and Jack pulls back, looking straight into his eyes.

"How?" Grinning Mark kisses Jack, lightly pulling back he stays inches from Jacks lips.

"I know a guy,"
