"I barley recognize him,"

"I'm worried and he's out here all alone with only Mark and breaking down like that? Is that even safe?" Jack hears a few huffs and then scuffling of feet. Ohm? Nate? Where was he?

"Mark's obviously important to Jack I mean he managed to calm him down," Yes, Jack decides, that's definitely Ohm.

"Yeah I don't know. I'll try to talk to that kid name Mark,"

A strong arm is wrapped around Jacks shoulders when he wakes. His body pressed up against the other body in bed with him. It's warm and the area smells like lavender. The arm tightens around Jack and instantly he knows its Mark. He still has that lingering smell of motel soap. Relaxing he knows Mark would never take him to a place that's unsafe. He trusted Mark. So he allows his body to relax but soon he becomes antsy so he untangles himself from him. He notices the covers are thrown back so Jack swiftly pulls them around him. Right up to his chin. Smiling he looks around and a warm feeling spreads in his insides. This is Nates bedroom. Still with clouds on the ceiling and the stupid cuss words he scribbled in the corner of his bedroom.

Jack remembers his way around the house and finds himself back in the kitchen. Emma, Ohm and Nate are all sat around and drinking coffee, besides Ohm, who never didn't drink tea. The room smelled had a rich, deep scent of coffee and oatmeal. Everyone looks up as Jack enters the room. Looking at him like he'll explode.

"What am I doing here again? Don't really remember last night at all," Jack lies. He does remember the suffocating scent of bleach and the reason his sides hurt every time he breaths but he doesn't remember anything after him and Mark on the bench. No matter how hard he digs it's just gone. A television that's static. Nate clears his throat and puts down his spoon, still full of oatmeal.

"After the restaurant you fell asleep and Mark was going to get a hotel but I offered you could stay here," his voice hesitates but Jack nods anyway, his whole body still screaming, 'He's lying! He's lying!'

"Thanks dude," Jack nods as he slides himself into a seat at the table as Nate hands him a cup of coffee. He takes a sip and it immediately fill his insides with warmth. "You still make great coffee," Nate laughs and takes a seat again.

"So where are you and Mark heading next?" Ohm asks. Jack looks over and sees he's without his mask.

Jack looked back as Ohm placed his mask on the ground. They were in his fenced in yard at dusk.

"Why do you wear it? The mask I mean?" Jack whispered quietly as they sat on the swing set. Ohm looked over at Jack.

"People see me differently if I don't. They see my melted eye and my red face not me," He finished as he turned back to the sky and Jack nodded.

"That makes sense but just so you know I see you and not your face," Jack answered back and Ohm turned to him again and grinned.

"Thats because you've had time to see me and not my face. You've heard me laugh and seen my actions before you saw anything else and that made all the difference,"

Jack doesn't answer as he looks down at the table grain. He still doesn't understand if he should trust them or not. They were his best friends at one point but something's digging at him. Something he can't quite remember.

"Back to my old house first but from there... I'll have to see," he turns his head up and takes a big gulp of coffee.

"We could take you," Emma offers obviously back to her more mellow self that Jack grew friends with. He swallows and shakes his head.
