It was a very peaceful summer evening. You were cooking dinner at your and Dazai's house. You tried to be concentrated on your doings, but your thoughts were wandering anywhere, but definitely not in the kitchen.

You loved Dazai with all your heart and you knew, that your feelings were mutual. You were so happy, that you got him as your boyfriend. You loved him fondly. It was like Dazai started something inside of you. A fire. Every time, he wasn't with you, it felt like the world was losing all his amazing colors and everything became grey. You weren't asking for anything, but to spend your whole life with this bandaged idiot. There was only problem, which kept you away from happy ending.

Dazai's dream to commit suicide.

It was killing you. You hated knowing, that your love was not enough to make him want to live. He was your everything, but when you saw how he was trying to commit suicide, your heart ached because you understood, that just being with you was not enough for him. Your whole heart, which belonged to him was not enough to make him happy. It was killing you. Your only wish was to make him happy. You were thinking about what you could do to bring happiness to his life. You've been trying so hard and for so long, but he still wanted to end his life.

Distracted by these thoughts, you didn't notice how the knife slipped from your hand and hurt your palm. The cut wasn't serious. You put your hand under the cold water to stop blood and then you had to put a plaster on it. Plasters were in the first aid kid, to get which you headed to the bedroom.

"Dazai "You called him, while entering the bedroom "Where's our first aid-OH MY GOD, DAZAI!!"

Dazai was standing on a chair, with a rope around his neck and he was about to hang himself. He was looking at you as if it was a normal activity and it was you, who was acting strange. You rushed to him, pulling him off the chair to the ground

"(Y/N)! I've almost hanged myself!" He groaned in annoyance

Your eyes were already wet and you were on the verge of tears. It was the first time, when he was trying to commit suicide when you were at home. How could he try to do it, when someone who loved him with all their heart was right in the next room? It was so cruel against to you.

But it was only his next question, that crossed the edge, completely.

"Why did you try to stop me?" Dazai asked as if this question didn't mean something important

That was it.

Tears started running down your cheeks. Your body was shaking because of pain and shock, that you were feeling. You didn't feel enough air because of the intense crying. If there wasn't a bed near you, you would fall to the floor because your knees got weak and you didn't have any power in your body at all. You hid your face in your hands, not wanting him to see you like this: red cheeks and nose, bloodshot eyes and swollen lips

"Why are you crying?" Dazai asked you

He sat down on the bed next to you and wrapped and arm around your shoulders.

"You were trying to commit suicide not even a minute ago and now you're asking me why I'm crying?" You asked him

You pushed his hand off from your shoulders roughly

"Hey, (Y/N), what's wrong?" He asked you
