In the wonderful world of ours, science can explain almost everything. Almost.

Soulmate (noun) - is a person with whom one has a feeling of deep or natural affinity. This may involve similarity, love, romance, comfort, intimacy, sexuality, sexual activity, spirituality, or compatibility and trust.

No one knew how those small numbers appeared on people's wrists. How did it work? How did it know who your soulmate is and when you'd meet him/ her so exactly? No matter how hard people tried to understand it, no one succeeded just like in the case with supernatural abilities.

Everyone couldn't wait till the time they meet their soulmate. The feeling of meeting someone who was destined to be with you ever since you were born was a miracle. Usually, in these moments, people were happy, delighted, amazed and when they saw, that there's only 3 hours left, they did everything to make the time go faster...

But this wasn't Chuuya's case.

He looked at those small clocks on his wrists, which said, that there were only 10 minutes till he meets his soulmate. He was nervous as hell. The thing is that he had to meet a detective from the Armed Detective Agency soon to exchange some information about the Guild since it was both Agency's and Mafia's problem. He had no idea what this detective would look like. He didn't even know the gender! And he didn't know the name. Mori has just told him to be at this bridge at 7 p.m. this evening.

The clocks showed, that there were only 5 minutes left by now. He was looking into the water, right at his reflection. It couldn't be...the detective from the ADA, could it? His soulmate couldn't work there. It was impossible. Even if they did, they won't even like him. Yeah, maybe, he acted confident, but deep inside...he was afraid. Not everyone would agree to date a criminal. He was also worried about his scars (and he had quiet a lot of them). Who'd think, that his body is beautiful if he had such ugly scars?

Suddenly, the clocks burned a little. His soulmate was close.

He shook his head and looked in the water again. This should be a mistake. His soulmate couldn't...

"Um...good evening!" Someone said next to him, waking him up from his thoughts

He turned his head away from the water and saw a beautiful (h/c) girl right in front of him. His eyes widened. She was so beautiful. Her (e/c) clear eyes were starring deep into his own, aqua-tinted ones and he felt like they could also see his soul. She was genuinely smiling at him as if she didn't know, that he was working in the Mafia, that he had blood on his hands, that he was bad for her.

His clocks on his hands burned once more again and then disappeared. At the same time she looked at her hand too before looking him in the eyes again, this time with disbelief just like him.

So I can't snap out of it

"It can't be..." He mumbled under his breath

"Are you really my soulmate?" She asked and smiled even wider than before "Nice to meet you! My name is (Y/N) (L/N)!"

"My name is Chuuya. Chuuya Nakahara." He answered

"Chuuya, you look quiet shocked. Is there something with my face or what?" She asked

"What? No, I'm not shocked because of that. I'm shocked because you are my soulmate!" He explained

"Er...so what's the problem?" You asked again "You thought, I'll be more beautiful, right?"

Her smile faded and her expression turned into a worried one.

"No!!" Chuuya answered quickly taking her small delicate hands into his "It's not the reason! Actually, I think, that you're the most beautiful girl I've ever met!"

He blushed and so did she.

"I think, you're handsome too." She smiled softly "I knew, that my soulmate will be from Port Mafia. When I was getting ready for this meeting, I knew, that I was going for a meeting with my soulmate. This is why I'm not that surprised."

"I didn't expect this." He said as he stroked her knuckles with his thumbs "And I was hoping, that it wouldn't be you. It will be hard, you know?"

"You don't even want to try?" You asked

"I didn't say it." He answered with a smile

"Chuuya..." You sighed and cupped his cheek with your hand "Everything will be alright. I promise, okay?"

"I believe you then." He turned his head a little and his soft lips touched your wrist "After all you're my soulmate~"

"And since this moment, I'm also your little secret~" You smiled
