"Somebody, please help me!" You screamed
"No one will help you, dear." He asked you
Somehow you couldn't see his face. You could only see his devilish grin, which you'll remember for the rest of your life.
"You can not escape." He whispered in your ear
You started squirming to get out from the chains, but it was impossible.
"So, what shall we start with?" He asked taking a scalpel from the table beside him
"I've done everything you asked me to." You said "Why are doing this?"
He leaned close to your ear and whispered:
"Because I like hearing your voice, дорогая*"

"Are you okay, (Y/N)? You look...lost." Poe asked
His voice has always woken you up from the endless nightmare, that you were trapped in.
He sat next to you on a couch and handed you a cup of hot chocolate
"I'm almost fine. Thanks." You answered as you took a cup from his hands
"Almost?" He questioned
"Well, I was just overthinking. Don't worry too much." You replied
You made yourself smile to prove your words
"Just tell me if you're feeling bad again, alright?" He asked
"Yeah, sure." You smiled
"Because I like hearing your voice, дорогая*"
Those words changed your life completely. Yeah, you were saved, but your mental state wasn't. Your past and those words were haunting you. You couldn't help it. You could suddenly start seeing the events of that day and hear those words in your head over and over again. You wanted to stop thinking about it, but you couldn't. They could not been erased.
Poe was the only one, who could calm you down. When you were with him, these were the only moments when you felt at peace. He was like your medicine from memory. You were so grateful to him for loving you. It felt like a wonder to you. How could a person like him love a broken person like you? You didn't know that, but it didn't matter. He loved with all his heart. This fact was the most important one.
"Em...(Y/N)?" He called you again
"Yes?" You said
"Do you wanna go out today?" He asked
You were staring into your cup
"No, I don't. Sorry." You answered
"But you haven't go outside for....for how long? I can't even remember!" He said
"It must a really long time." You thought because it was usually Poe, who's the one to stay at home for months, suggested you to go out.
"Why do you want to stay here? Aren't you bored?" He asked
"I'm just...afraid, that he might find me again." You confessed
You didn't have enough strength to look at Poe so you continued staring into your cup.
"Because I like hearing your voice, дорогая*"
Why did he have to do that? Why did he have to ruin your life?!
Edgar moved closer to you and wrapped his arm around your shoulders. You put the cup on the table, which was standing next to the couch and snuggled closer into Poe's chest.
"There's nothing to be afraid of, darling." He said "He will never hurt you like that again. I'll never leave you and I promise, that I'll always protect you till my last breath."
"Don't speak about your death." You asked him "It terrifies me. I don't want to see you dying."
He started stroking you back.
"I'm sorry." He apologized "Don't worry. We'll always be together. I will never leave you, (Y/N)"
He started blushing, while saying those words and you thought, that he was really adorable with a tint of pink on his cheeks.
"I love you, Edgar." You said "And even though, I'm haunted by my memories, I always feel calm, when I'm with you. Thank you for being there for me."
He kissed your temple.
"That's okay, darling. I'm here." He said
He rested his chin on top of your head and whispered again.
"I'm here."
