"(Y/N)?" Kunikida called you

"Yeah?" You replied

"The director wants to see you." He explained

"Fukuzawa?" You thought "Hm...I wonder, why all of a sudden."

I'll be as honest as you let me

Fukuzawa was your secret crush. You couldn't confess to him about your feelings because you thought, it was wrong. He was your boss after all and you were his subordinate. Some people said, that it's forbidden to date your boss.

As you were walking closer to the door of his office, your heart was starting to bump faster and faster.

I miss your early morning company

"You wanted to see me?" You asked as you entered his office

"Yes, (Y/N)." Fukuzawa said and smiled softly

You came closer to his desk

"Did you want to talk with me about my next mission?" You asked

"Actually, no." He answered "Do you know about the festival today?"

You are my favorite "what if"
You are my best "I'll never know"

You blinked a couple of times

"Um...yeah. Why are you asking?" You asked

"Well...the working day has almost finished." He started "And I thought, that maybe, you'd agree to go to that festival with me?"

Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean any of it
I just got too lonely, lonely, whoa

You blushed hell red. Your crush asked you to go on a date with him! You could finally feel those butterflies everyone were talking about in your stomach. A million of questions and thoughts ran through your head, but you still managed to answer:

"O-Of course! I'd be happy to go with you!"

He smiled softly at you

"Good. Pack your things then. We have to go now if we don't want to be late."

Once the Agency was empty, you two left it and headed straight to the festival. You were a bit sad because you weren't wearing your favorite (f/c) yukata. Well...at least, you weren't the only one here, who wasn't wearing traditional clothes.

"No, (Y/N)! Don't let such small thing destroy your mood!" You thought

"Fukuzawa-san?" You called him

"Yes?" He replied

"May I know, why did you invite me?" You asked

"I'll tell you a bit later, ok?" He smiled softly and patted your head "And call me Yukichi."

"I can call you Yukichi-san?" You asked in disbelief

"Just Yukichi."

It's been already dark and late, but you were still having fun on the festival. You've been eating yakisoba and some sweets, playing different games, taking a lot of photos. You even saw Atsushi and Kyoka having fun there too, but you decided not to get seen together.

Once, when you were playing a game, a man said to Fukuzawa: "Oh it's so rare to see women this age with their dads! Usually they come here with their boyfriends!". There was an awkward silence after this between you two, but it soon went away when you noticed some sweets.

You were so happy. You knew, that you were gonna remember this night for a long time. There was just one thing, that you'd like to clarify: was it a date or not? Everything looked like it was. It was romantic and you were walking with your arms wrapped around his hand so you've been really close to each other. You've been talking a lot too and not just about work. You talked about your family, friends, things you liked, favorite music, films and etc. You felt at ease. With Yukichi you didn't have to pretend like when you were with other people. He was different. He wasn't judging you like others. While he was listening, he was just accepting everything you said. He was just accepting you as who you were.

I wish I'd known how much you loved me, hmm

Now, it was time for the most wonderful part of the festival, which everyone was waiting for: fireworks.

You two were now standing on a bridge, awaiting for fireworks, which were about to start.

"Thank you for inviting me, Yukichi." You said and blushed slightly "It was a great night!"

"I'm glad, you had fun." He smiled softly

You leaned on the railing of the bridge. So did Yukichi.

"Will we just...go to our homes after the fireworks?" You asked and blushed

"I don't know yet. Maybe." He answered

"Oh...I see." You sighed and looked at the water

"Are you upset?" He asked

"A little. I just had so much fun with you. And I felt at ease...it's such a great feeling." You blushed more

"I felt so too." He confessed

"Wait, really?!" You asked as you looked at him again

"Yeah." He chuckled "By the way, (Y/N), remember, I promised to tell you why I invited you?"

"Yeah." You replied

He leaned a bit closer to your face making you blush even more than before

"Want to find it out now?" He asked in a husky voice

You nodded

In an instant, his lips crushed upon yours in an explosive kiss and right in this moment, the fireworks started. All people were shouting happily and staring at the show, but neither of you cared about that. You were too busy with each other.
