Chapter Eleven: Izzy's Brothers and Their Interrogation

[Isaac Colten Sutts]

"Where did you say we were going?" I rolled my eyes.

"I got to meet my mom so I'm taking you to meet my orphan brothers and sisters." He looked a little stressed but allowed me to drag him down the street.

"I'm still very confused. Why am I doing this again?" I shrugged.

"So you can know other parts of me I guess." He gripped my hand harder.

"I'm not sure this is a good idea."

"It's a great idea! They're going to love you." He looked reluctant. We walked for a few more minutes before stopping at a large building I used to call home. I walked to the door and knocked before opening the door. Not a moment later did four boys and two girls come to the front door with big smiles.

"Izzy!" They all screamed only to be yelled at to be quiet.

"Stand at attention and be silent!" I looked up to see the woman that took care of me.

"Good evening. It's been quite some time since you last showed up."

"I've been busy. I brought a friend this time. I'd like you to meet Cilyn Carson, CC this is the women who took care of me, Catharine Sutts." He smiled at her and she gave a curt nod before looking down at the children.

"Introduce yourselves. I'll be back with the older boys in just a moment." She turned around and started towards a set of stairs.

"I'm Cameron! Most people call me Cammy. It's nice to meet you." I small blonde haired girl said with a bright smile before she giggled and ran off.

"Hi, I'm Seth." One boy with a pair of glasses and slightly outgrown hair said before shaking my hand and turning away from me.

"I'm sure we'll be seeing more of you. I'm Jaimie." He smiled and waited for the next boy to introduce himself.

"H-hi, I'm D-Dam-mon." He bowed his head down to the ground but I lifted it and smiled at him.

"It's nice to meet you. Did you know that looking down at the ground means you're smart? But do you know what's even better?" He shook his head.

"Looking someone in the eyes and smiling. It makes you look a little more confident, even if you're stuttering or feeling shy." He gazed at me for a few moments before nodding and looking up to Colt.

"Good job Izzy. You finally got a smart one!" Isaac laughed and nodded as he went over to Jaimie.

"Hey there! I'm Angel. I hope no one's scared you away yet!" I shook my head and smiled at her.

"Not yet. I think we're saving that for the older kids." She nodded and went over to Cammy.

"I'm Zach, if you've heard about me it was probably all bad things." I looked over to Colt to see him shrug.

"I haven't said anything to him yet. If you want to show him what you're like I suggest you do it the next time we come to visit." He pouted and left the room. I now turned to Isaac fully.

"I like Izzy more than Colt. It has more character to it." He shrugged.

"The kids think so too." We then heard a stampede come from behind me before I could turn around we were both tackled to the ground by boys of all different heights.

"Boys! You know better than to trample into our guests! Get up!" Slowly the weight was gone and I could stand. I helped Izzy up as the boys looked down.
