Chapter Twenty-Six: Valentine Shopping

"Do we have to do this?" I asked as he pulled me towards the mall.

"No. We can go on a date and buy gifts together. I just don't want to do that." He said as I scowled at him. He dragged me in and we looked around. He hugged me before going over to the left. I watched as he disappeared. I sighed and glanced around the area. I saw a Spencer's and walked over to it.

When I walked in the person at the counter looked up at me and widened his eyes. He looked me over while I walked over to the hats and looked them over. The guy behind the counter moved to walk over to me and then he began to speak.

"Colt? Is that you?" I looked at the guy more closely but I didn't recognize him. He looked into my eyes and I was suddenly reminded. He was a guy from my high school. He only felt comfortable if you stared into his eyes and he was bullied for it.

"Yeah, it's me. How have you been?" He pulled me into a hug before pulling away.

"What kind of professional comes into a Spencer's?" I laughed and smiled at him.

"The kind that's looking for gifts. What do you suggest I get my partner?" He looked thoughtful for a moment before he waved his hand to follow him. We went into the back and stopped at the stock of dildos which made me laugh very hard.

"Sorry to disappoint but I'd be the one using that. My boyfriend is more of a top kind of guy." Erick looked thoughtful before going over to the other side.

"I'm not sure what kind of guy he is but anyone could love this." I looked at the costumes and bit my lip.

"I don't know..." I said as I looked them over. Erick laughed and shook his head.

"It's okay. Not everyone is into kinks" I nodded and turned to a rack of hoodies. I went through a few of them and found one about Cilyn's size. I looked at the design and realized it was BMV. I grabbed it and went back over to the hats. I sighed and waved to Erick.

"Let Kendell know I said hi!" I called to him, but as I turned away I noticed him frown. I shrugged it off and went over to Hot Topic. Before I made it there I saw Cilyn at the jewelers. He was talking to a woman and pointing to something in the case. I frowned and got a little closer so that I could hear him.

"I'd like this—Oh no, I'm looking for another men's ring—I'm sorry, what did you say?" I turned away from them and felt my heart growing heavy. I walked across the mall and into a Hot Topic where two boys were looking at a shirt I realized they both looked familiar. The younger one was one of Cilyn's students and the one around my age was an old friend.

"Jay?" Jayden turned around and looked over at me. His hair was longer and his eyes seemed just as bright as when I first met him. He grinned at me and looked me over.

"Well I'll be. If it isn't Isaac Sutts in the flesh. Haven't seen you in a long time." I nodded and smiled over at Blake.

"It's nice to see you. Wonderful to see you as well Blake. I hope Cilyn's not being too hard on you in school." He shrugged and looked back over to Jayden.

"Do you really think he won't like it?" Jay looked over at the shirt and shook his head.

"You know he won't like it. Why do you bother asking me? You only want to buy it for yourself." Blake slapped his chest and turned down the aisle.

"Looks like we're both having troubles with our Valentine shopping." Blake looked over at me and laughed.

"Who are you shopping for?" I raised an eyebrow at him.
