two people
riding five stations
together
in the metrotogether
for five grains
in an hourglass
in the vast expanse
of their lives --they're afraid
to be caught staring
at each othermeeting eyes
with other passengers
is forbidden,
for many obvious reasons
no one
can really explain.in another circumstance
these two passengers
could fall in love,
become friends,
become the light
that's missing in
their livesinstead,
they bide their time,
thinking of where
they should stare
until one of them leaves
and other is left to consider
what if
what if
what if
