Three Years Later...
"Where the hell are we going?" I asked Kai as he held some book and lead me through the woods. He had just told me to get up and lead me out here. I continued to follow him though, for some reason. The sound of his shoes crushing the leaves and sticks beneath him stopped meaning he did as well.
"Well you are part witch and based on the information you've given me over the years, you're not a very good one." He turned around and faced me.
"Gee thanks but that doesn't answer why we're out here in the middle of the woods." I crossed my arms looking around at the nature.
"I'm gonna teach you how to get better at magic so we can get the hell out of this place." He smirked and held up the book.
I scoffed slightly laughing. "Look I appreciate the offer, but I'm already a badass original vampire who is slightly good at being a witch. I don't need to learn anymore spells. I can figure out how to get out of this dump on my own." I fake smiled before attempting to walk away.
I heard Kai sigh and chuckle under his breath before stepping in my way.
"Kai, move before I rip your throat out- Ah!" I cried out in pain as he gripped my arm and inhaled. "What are you doing to me? Stop!" I screamed as he finally let go and I fell to the floor.
I felt incredibly weak. It was like he drained me.
"I may have left out a little detail." He stood above me. "I can take your magic."
I groaned, still feeling pain. "Never.. ever do that again or I swear to god I'll kill you." I said, trying to catch my breath.
"You may be an original, Nayeli, but don't think for a second I won't take all of your useless magic and leave you here." He towered over me. I was almost afraid of him. "So.. you wanna learn some spells?" He smiled like nothing happened.
...
"Let's start off easy, hm?" Kai stood before me.
I glared at him as he walked back in forth in front of me.
"I'm gonna hide, you do the locator spell and try to find me."
I shrugged. "Fair enough. Give me your hand." I held out mine waiting for him to give me his.
He gave me an 'Are you crazy' look but I still sat there waiting.
He rolled his eyes but reluctantly gave me his hand.
I looked around for a sharp object. I took a rock from off the ground and cut him with it, enjoying the hiss of pain that came from his mouth.
"You could've told me your intentions. I would've done it myself." He pulled his hand back and glared at me.
"Payback's a bitch, isn't it Kai?" I placed the book of spells on my lap.
"Something you guys have in common." He fake smiled before walking off to go and hide.
I rolled my eyes before searching though the book to find the spell.
I held the rock with Kai's blood on it. I closed my eyes and focused all of my attention on the spell. "Phasmatos Tribum, Nas Ex Veras. Phasmatos Tribum, Nas Ex Veras." I repeated until I knew where Kai was.
I smiled before getting up and walking until I reached the cemetery.
I laughed to myself before speaking out loud. "Wow, Kai. You could've gone anywhere and you chose the cemetery. Creative." I spoke with sarcasm.
He stepped out from behind a nearby tree with a grin. "Congratulations, your crappy magic isn't all that useless."
I crossed my arms with a smirk. "You underestimate me. I'm one out of six of the most powerful supernatural beings.. and you underestimate me. Looks like you're not the sharpest knife in the drawer."
"Maybe, sweetheart-"
"Never call me that."
"-But I'm sure as hell better at magic than you are."
I walked closer to him and leaned in next to his ear. "I'm faster, stronger, and older than you." I turned around and began to walk back to where our original spot was.
"Yea well I'm hotter!" He called, not knowing what else to say.
"In your dreams, Parker!"
