"I was supposed to merge my magic with Jo, but I got Luke instead." Kai began to explain, "Now I'm defective, and I think that's why you're sick." He spoke to Jo. "I kind of feel like I'm dying, actually."

"I'm confused- why did you call me?" I chimed in not knowing what part I had in this.

"If I die, so does my dad, Liv, Jo, and the rest of our dumb coven." He looked over at me, "I called you so you could fix me. Like now." He more demanded than requested.

...

"Any joint pain? Headaches?" Jo asked Kai as he sat on the counter and she shined a light in his eyes.

I stood next to Alaric with my arms crossed watching the event. "Maybe he's pregnant." I tried my best to lighten the mood.

Kai looked over at me, "Stop making jokes. I feel like I'm being scrunched from inside out." His eyes glanced over towards Alaric. "This is kinda private does your baby boo need to be here?" He asked Jo.

Alaric raised his eyebrows, "Does yours?"

"Okay, your vitals are fine. Your temperature is normal. I'll wait on pathology but there's nothing medically wrong with you." Jo informed with a shrug.

"Yea, duh. Because I'm magically diseased. Nayeli, isn't there anything you can do to fix me. I mean you've been a witch for like, ever." He looked back over at Jo and squinted, "Hey, you haven't puked in at least-"

He began to cough up blood making me gasp in shock. "Oh my god." I uncrossed my arms and took a step forward, ready to help Kai but Jo grabbed the trash can quickly.

Kai grabbed her arm as he puked into the can and Jo began to groan. I furrowed my eyebrows realizing that he was sucking out her magic.

Ric broke up the two as I began to think.

"I feel better." Kai commented.

"Yea, 'cause you juice-boxed my magic." Jo said angrily, stepping back from him to prevent it happening again.

"Sorry that- that was an accident but wow I legitimately feel better." Kai sighed in relief and began to smile.

I stepped forward, "Jo," I looked over at her, "you need to give Kai your magic."

"What?" She looked at me like I was crazy.

"Listen, this faux merge is clearly failing." I said, "Kai was supposed to get your magic, right?"

"She's right." Kai hopped off of the counter and stood next to me. "Look, put it in a teddy bear or a bedpan or something and gimme." He stuck his hand out.

Ric grabbed his hand and began to bend it, creating cracking sounds. "Listen. I can just as easily break seven little bones in your hand with one squeeze. Okay?"

I began to grow upset and held my hand up making him let go of Kai's hand and fall to his knees, grabbing his head. "And I can just as easily pop your little blood vessels with just one flick of my wrist." I smirked.

"Enough." Jo said but I chose to ignore her.

"Here's one thing you need to know, Ric, can I call you Ric?" Kai smiled but continued nevertheless, "Jo only survives if I do. If that's not enough for you, the power that binds the prison worlds comes from the leader of the Gemini Coven. If I die, the worlds collapse alright?"

"Stop." Jo demanded and I rolled my eyes but obliged, releasing the spell.

Alaric gasped in relief and glared at me but I only smiled innocently.

"Look, Jo, I know a spell that can help you hand over your magic to Kai without you coming to harm's way." I looked at the witch.

"Okay, fine." She gave in as she nodded. "Let's do this." She spoke confidently.

Kai sighed, "Me, our coven and the prison worlds thank you." He smiled. "Oh don't look so stressed." He teased. "You never liked being a witch anyway."

"Shut up."

"Alright. Let's get this party started." I took a deep breath before taking Jo and Kai's hands as they did the same with each other.

I closed my eyes as I began to chant, "Calibus vis anulix peros corpeo meum . Calibus vis anulix peros corpeo meum." I felt a strong wind in the room as it blew my hair back as I continued to chant.

I opened my eyes slowly after a while. "It's done." I thought things had become back to normal but I began to hear heartbeats. But there was an extra one. I moved stray hair behind my ear to hear better and realized the new heartbeat was coming from Jo's stomach.

I looked up at the witch with a smile, "Congratulations."

She furrowed her eyebrows in confusion as I pulled her closer and whispered in her ear that she was carrying a life inside her. I pulled away taking in her wide eyes and speechless expression.

Kai got the hint as well and smirked, "Have a good life, sissy." He told the ex-witch before grabbing my hand and leaving.

...

I sat across from Kai after he insisted we go to the Grill for a celebration of, what he calls, his crowning of magic.

I watched him as he looked over the menu for the thousandth time not knowing what to get. Me? I ordered 10 minutes ago. I sat with a smile, not even bothered he was taking his sweet time.

"You know, Nayeli, I can't decide if I'm craving a burger or a steak. Or both." His bright eyes wandered the menu.

I giggled at the indecisive man sitting in front of me. "I mean they have everything I love on this menu. They may as well throw you on there." He smiled.

I smiled widely and took in the words he just said. He didn't even realize he said it. "Kai," I called and his head snapped up, "did you just say you love me?" I smirked.

He furrowed his eyebrows before scoffing, "Yeah, right. You wish." He returned his eyes back to the menu but I couldn't help but notice his heartbeat pick up.

"Kai Parker loves me, Kai Parker loves me." I sang as I switched over to his side of the booth to tease him.

"Shut up, I do not." He rolled his eyes and put the menu down to face me.

I smiled brightly at his denial before saying, "I love you too, Kai."

He tried to hide his smile but couldn't help but let a grin slip before he placed his lips on mine.
