"Phesmatos Tribum, Nas Ex Veras, Sequitas Sanguinum." Bonnie and I chanted together but the blood on the map stayed in the same place.
"It doesn't feel right." Bonnie sighed.
"Maybe we need a bigger map?" I suggested.
"Maybe Bonnie's out of practice and sucks at magic now and you're used to being vampy not witchy." Damon poured a glass of bourbon, which seemed to be the only thing he does apparently.
"Ignore him." Kai shook his head. "Pretend he's a white noise machine. That's how I used to tune out my siblings. I grew up with a ton of little sisters and brothers." He walked towards Bonnie and I furrowed my eyebrows.
"You know, all of them constantly yammering." He stood close to her as I crossed my arms. "But it, uh, taught me how to focus." He looked into her eyes.
"Easy there, big brother, She doesn't know you. At least buy her a drink." Damon teased.
"Okay well.." I stepped in between them, parting them. "I think we should keep working on the spell, don't you Bonnie?" I turned to her, blocking out Kai's figure.
She looked at me uneasily. "..Yea."
"Phesmatos Tribum, Nas Ex Veras, Sequitas Sanguinum."
"The blood's moving towards Virginia, that can't be right." Kai commented before moving in front of me, getting closer to Bonnie and pushing me slightly.
I stepped back and scoffed going on the opposite side of them.
"Mm-mm spell's working. It's showing us Mystic Falls." Bonnie said. "Feels so.. close." She turned to Kai and placed her hand on his chest. "It's right here."
Kai fake gasped as he pulled the ascendant out of his pocket.
I rolled my eyes and felt my temper rise slightly as the fire on the candles flickered and rose. "Is this some type of joke?"
"Well the spell worked, Nayeli. Are you jealous or something?" Kai smirked at me.
"That's the ascendant?" Bonnie rose her eyebrows in surprise.
"The one and only." Kai replied.
"Thanks for the mind games, jackass." Damon crossed his arms with an upset look.
"It was just another little test. To see if Bonnie and Nayeli's magic was precise enough for the spell." He glanced over at me but I avoided eye contact. "I do believe we're ready. Pack your bags, we're going home."
...
"You're wandering around like a crazy man, why?" Damon asked Kai. I wondered as well what Kai was doing.
"I'm looking for the exact right spot. We need to find where the power of the eclipse is focused." He answered, still wandering around and holding up the ascendant from time to time.
"You could've just shown us the ascendant to begin with." Bonnie commented.
"But I wanted to feel your hand on my chest." He flirted, making me sick to my stomach.
"Something's not right about him." Damon mumbled to Bonnie.
I left them and walked over to Kai. "What's your problem?"
"This prison world and if you would kindly leave me alone I can get us out of here." He smiled innocently.
"I mean with Bonnie. All of a sudden you're all flirty." I crossed my arms, walking with him.
He stopped and faced me. "Because you're cute when you're jealous." He winked before walking ahead.
I scoffed, shaking my head.
