"You're telling me she doesn't remember a single good deed that you've done?" I asked Damon over the phone while walking the streets of New Orleans. I noticed the many stares and whispers making me roll my eyes.

"Nope." Damon said in pure annoyance. "Which Is why you're going to fix that." He stated as if he were so sure I'd agree with that.

"Ha, you're funny." I said sarcastically and stopped walking when two ladies wouldn't stop staring. "What? Never seen a Mikaelson before?" I snapped and they quickly minded their own business.

"Nayeli, where are you?"

"Not in New Orleans." I lied with a nervous chuckle and braced myself for Damon's yelling.

"Why the hell are you in New Orleans? I thought I told you to stay with Elena and Caroline." He spoke angrily through gritted teeth.

I sighed and rolled my eyes, although he couldn't see me, "I need to find a group of witches to help me bring Kai out of the prison world."

"Yea.. No." I could tell he was shaking his head, "Change of plans. You're going to get your ass back to Mystic Falls and go to the hospital fundraiser with me." He practically demanded before hanging up.

I groaned and looked around and spotted the one and only, Davina Claire.

I flipped my hair before walking over to the brunette who was more than surprised that I was standing in front of her. "Nayeli? How are you here?"

"Look, it's a long story but I need your help." I brushed off her question without a second thought.

She shook her head before walking and I reluctantly followed. "Sorry, Nayeli. Witches don't do favors for the Mikaelson's anymore." She informed without any remorse in her voice whatsoever.

I furrowed my eyebrows, struggling to keep up with her from how fast she was walking. "What are you talking about?"

She turned to me with a serious face as her green eyes stared into my blue ones. "I'm sorry, N. You're on your own."

...

"This looks bloody awful." I rolled my eyes as soon as Damon and I stepped into the room. There was distant chatter from every corner. Drinks clinking, and people laughing.

"Did the words 'Hospital Fundraiser' sound fun to you?" He asked me, but I ignored him.

I huffed before scanning the room to find a place to blend in. I smiled when I noticed the bar, "Alright, Salvatore. Now that you're here, you can stalk Elena and I'll be at the bar." I tried to walk away but he grabbed my arm.

"What?" I groaned but he didn't respond. I glanced over to where he was staring and saw Elena.. with another guy. I took in a deep breath understanding his sudden silence.

"Who's that?" Damon mumbled. I couldn't tell if he was angry or upset.

I shrugged, "Don't know. Look, they're probably just-" I stopped myself when they began to hold hands. "Friends." I whispered.

"You're up vamp-witch." He muttered before walking away, leaving me alone and very confused.

I sighed before walking up to Elena after her 'friend' had just left her. "Hey, Elena!" I said with fake enthusiasm.

"Nayeli, you came." She smiled widely as her brown eyes sparkled.

"I wouldn't miss it for the world." I lied with a plastic smile. "Anyways, you've got to tell me who that hottie is!"

"His name is Liam." She said and I couldn't help but notice that she couldn't stop smiling.

"Liam. Sexy." I winked and noticed Damon approaching. "I'll talk to you later." My smile faded when I was out of sight.

I walked up to the bar, bored out of my mind. Oh how I missed Kai. "Hey" I got the bartender's attention.

"Hey, sexy." He winked, making me want to gag. "What can I get ya?"

"Surprise me." I shrugged without another word hoping he wouldn't talk to me anymore.

"I'll surprise you alright." He smirked and placed his hand on mine but I grabbed it and turned it, making him groan in pain as I smiled at the sound of his bone breaking.

"It's going to be a little hard making drinks with a broken hand, hm?" I teased with a smile before dropping his hand.

I groaned and walked away from the bar, completely ready to leave. I glanced over at Damon and Elena dancing and smiled a bit before leaving the room.

I crossed my arms and sighed, feeling the cold wind against my arms. I didn't know exactly where I was going but I didn't care. Because all I could think about was Kai.

I couldn't help but think about every moment we spent together. Sure, not every memory was a happy one but it was something. That moment in the car.. it was something. And I missed it.

"Come back, Kai."
