"Why didn't you tie Nayeli up?" Alaric mumbled to Damon and I rolled my eyes. Clearly he didn't understand how the whole vamp-hearing worked.

"Because she's an Original, and a witch. There'd be no point." Damon answered Alaric as he threw stones at the tombstone they tied Kai up to.

"And, I'm not going to hurt anybody unless necessary." I smiled, leaning against a random tree.

"So this whole anti-magic thing, is it like a dome or a bubble?" Kai asked from the other side of the border.

Damon continued to chuck rocks at him nonetheless. "Like, say you were in a 747 flying over Mystic Falls, would you die?" Kai continued. "That could be dangerous. Like if you're headed to New York, your pilot reroutes for weather.."

I shrugged, debating the question. It was a good question.

Damon threw another rock but before it could hit the stone I stopped it with my magic, balancing it in the air. "Cut it out." I dropped the rock.

"How's this? I kill you and when you're in hell, you could ask a bar full of dead Travelers who cast the damn spell." Damon grinned.

"That's a lot of travelers. Must be a pretty big spell." Kai yelled.

Damon picked another rock and I glared at him making him raise his hands in defense and drop the rock. "Don't get used to the idea of killing Kai because I won't let that happen."

"You and what army?" Damon teased with a smile.

"No army. Just me. I am stronger than you after all. Much more powerful as well considering I'm a witch.." I trailed off and held my hand up, a small fire forming in the middle.

Alaric stepped out of his car, from dropping off Jo, and walked over to the two of us. "We are keeping him alive, Damon. As much as I'd love to kill him."

"Careful with your words, Ric, the douches girlfriend is standing right here." Damon looked over at me with a smirk and I just scoffed. "And can I ask why we continuously compromise logic for some girl you just met?"

"You know, I don't know how I went so long without saying this.." Ric started, "but you're a real dick."

I gaped at his words with a grin, never hearing such words from him. "Didn't know you had it in ya." I smirked.

"Bonnie is stuck over there because of him. She's over there and I'm over here, and I hate myself for it."

"Yea, and killing him will make you feel better. So let's just stop pretending for a second that this is about anyone else but you." Ric snapped and Damon's eyes widened before he picked up a rock and chucked it at Ric's tire.

I snorted as the air hissed from the tire. "You should probably go change that tire."

All of a sudden the weather began to change from sunny to windy as hell.

I groaned as I had to keep moving my hair out of my face every two seconds.

"He stopped talking.." Damon mumbled, "He never stops talking." He walked up to the border line.

I heard faint mumbling coming from Kai.

"What happened to his chains?"

"--Is he chanting?"

I leaned off of the tree and noticed what they were talking about.

Kai stepped away from the tombstone, making me confused.

"You little magic sucker." Damon muttered, "You sucked up all that magic from the Traveler spell."

Kai didn't asnwer, though. He lifted Alaric into the air before throwing him into a tree.

Damon pinned Kai against a tree with his hands around his neck but Kai pushed him off and suddenly disappeared.

...

"But it's different now in the restraunt world. I mean, everything's on timers-" Kai ranted on and on about restraunts and diners.

"Kai, darling, please shut up." I smiled politely at the boy to the left of me. Elena sat, unconscious, on the far right side of the table, Kai on the left, and I was in the center.

He chuckled and shook his head, "I'm sorry. It's just so fascinating. It's like, fries go in, you push a button, ding, you take them out."

"Look who's up." I grinned at Elena who groaned with beads of sweat dripping down her forehead. She glared at me and glanced over at Kai.

"Why am I here?" She mumbled, strained against the vervain-soaked ropes Kai tied her in.

"You mean like-- 'here' here. In Mystic Falls. Heh." He swallowed nervously before laughing. "I'm sorry, I'm nervous. You're like really pretty."

I rolled my eyes and scoffed, putting down my utensils and crossing my arms. Kai looked over at me with a smirk, "Oh no need to be jealous, Eli. You know you're my one and only." He winked.

I smiled widely and Elena looked between the two of us in disgust. "How could you be with somebody like him?"

I raised my eyebrows with a grin. "That's quite ironic coming from you, Elena." I chuckled. "You've been in love with worse people like him. Twice! In fact the second was his brother." I snorted and she rolled her eyes, defeated.

"Why am I here, Kai?" Elena changed the topic at hand.

"Well, I took the spell that was keeping supernaturals out of Mystic Falls, and I, like, absorbed it. Like, ate it, I guess." Kai explained, "It's cool, huh? First I eat magic, and then I eventually lose it but I mean, a huge spell like that? I mean, come on. Magic's oozing out of me. It's all over the place. I didn't quite realize it was so out of control until I met the manager a few hours ago. And he was all like 'You can't come in here. We're closed. And you have an unconscious girl over your shoulder.'" Kai mimicked the manager from previously in an unrecognizable accent, making me laugh quietly.

"So then, I had Nayeli compell him then I gave him a heart attack. Or tried to. All I did was make him vomit uncontrollably and I was like, ugh. All right, let's stop that. So I tried again. And I think I broke his spine. I'm not really sure. Because the third time I tried the spell, he kind of exploded in blood. Whoops." Kai shrugged and took a drink.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" Elena shook her had, squinting at him.

"I just told you, I have too much magic." Kai said, annoyed that she wasn't listening. "It wasn't until my test run with the manager that I realized if I start to merge with Jo, and my gushing fountains of magic turn her into that guy then I'm not gonna have a twin for the merge. So, Elena, that's why you're here. Because I need to get my magic under control by practicing with you. Or rather by practicing on you." He corrected himself.

"Oh, hey, P.S., silver lining. After the manager finally stopped thrashing around I finally managed a cloaking spell. Thank you. It's easy to do, and undo. Phesmatos Oculacs." Kai chanted, revealing the bloody, gross corpse.

I looked away in disgust as Elena panicked.

"Table for four." Kai chuckled.
