"So.. is this like a kink or something?" I raised my eyebrows as I chained Elena up due to Kai's orders.

Kai came up behind me and wrapped his arm around my waist, his breath hitting my neck as I shivered from his touch. "No, but it can be if that's what you're into." I practically heard is smirk.

I sighed when he released himself from me.

Elena began to wake up with a groan. She looked around her, wide eyed. "We're in my high school?"

"Plenty of restrooms. No flammable surfaces. And everyone's on winter break, still. It's no wonder America got dumb while I was locked up, they're never in school." He mumbled walking over to the glass cabinet, examiining all the award and pictures. He smiled and turned to Elena, "Is that you? Oh, and there's Bonnie. You guys look so innocent. Smiling like nothing bad could ever happen to you. Anyway, do you mind if i try to turn your blood into acid again?"

"Again?" Elena asked, shocked and scared.

"Yea, that's kind of how you got here in the first place." Kai took off his jacket and handed it to me and I slipped it onto myself. "I was trying the whole acid blood thing and I think I burst a few important capillaries in your brain because you blacked out."

Elena shook her head and turned to me with sad eyes. "Nayeli, you don't have to help him. Listen to me you don't have to do this."

I crossed my arms and walked up to her, "Has it ever occured to you that maybe I want to do this? Don't take it personal, Elena. I'm just doing what I have to to protect the people I love." I shrugged before holding up my hand and chanting.

"Please! Please, Nayeli stop! Aah!" She groaned in pain and I only continued. "My ring. Nayeli, you're melting my ring stop."

Elena tugged on the chains, breaking them and sending sparks my way. I yelled as a spark hit my arm and Elena sped off.

"Find her." Kai said angrily before walking down the hallway and I went in the opposite direction.

"Oh, Elena." I called out in a chirpy tune as my boots clicked against the hallway floors. "Come out, come out wherever you are." I chuckled darkly.

"No, no, no." I heard Elena panick and I walked into the room she was currently in. She was hunched over the sink, frowning as her ring melted away.

I pouted, "Aw, Elena. Did i melt your daylight ring? My apologies." I teased.

I tilted my head when she stuck her hand into the light, screaming as her hand caught fire.

"What are you-" I was cut off by a sudden wave of fire coming towards my way. I flew back against the floor in pain. I growled as I looked down at my shirt which now had holes in it. I got up angrily and followed where Elena had run off to.

By the time I had gotten there, Kai had already reached her first.

...

I smiled at the red marks around Elena's wrist as she tried over and over again to get out of the ropes. "Vervain can be a real bitch, huh Elena?"

She smirked looking down at my new shirt. "Nice shirt."

I chuckled, "Thanks, somebody burned my other one."

"Hey, Nayeli? Do you mind getting me another soda, beautiful?" Kai asked from behind me with a smile. "I'll take it from here."

I nodded and glared at Elena before leaving the room and walking down the hallways. I'd never been to this school before so I didn't know where I was going but I'd find my way around.

I stopped when I saw a silhouette of a man down the hallway. I furrowed my eyebrows but turned the opposite way when I ran into somebody. My brother. "Kol?"

"Sister, what is it that you are doing?" He asked me in a disappointed tone and put his arm on my shoulder. "Why are you associating with a monster like him?"

I shook my head, "He's not a monster, Kol. He cares about me and-"

"Cares about you?" Kol interrupted, squinting at me. "Nayeli, he's using you. For his own plans. He doesn't care who gets hurt along the way. I'm disappointed in you, sister." He said before turning around and walking off.

"Kol, wait!" I shouted after him and followed him but froze when he suddenly vanished into thin air.

I was speechless, but scoffed when I realized what was going on. I chuckled and threw my hands up in the air. "Is this some sort of joke?" I yelled through the hallways. "Manipulate me? Huh? Well it didn't work and it will never work."

"No joke, Nayeli. I was only trying to show you the truth." Damon said from behind me and I turned around and saw him and Jo.

Damon grabbed my arm and I rolled my eyes, "Is this really necessary?" I asked while we walked down the hallways.

"Very." Damon smirked but froze when Kai appeared down the hallway.

"Kai!" I called out in relief. "Thank god. Damon and your witch twin showed up. Party for five, am I right?" I laughed. My laughing stopped when he walked right past us and recyled his old soda can. "Kai what are you doing? Kai?" I called after him as he left.

"He can't see us, Nayeli. Which means Jo's cloaking spell is working." Damon grinned proudly at the witch.

...

"Great. Let me guess, she's cloaked too?" I rolled my eyes in annoyance when Elena's eyes widened, meaning she could finally see us.

"My ring- it's gone. Nayeli melted it into nothing." Elena glared at me and I shrugged.

"Hey, Damon would do anything for you. I would do anything for Kai. Get over yourself princess."

"Not to cut the reunion short, but meter's running on this spell." Jo breathed heavily and I looked at her skeptically.

Jo coughed as the four of us made our way to the boiler room. Elena glanced behind at her. "You okay?"

Jo nodded weakly as she panted, "Yea. Four people's just a lot more to cloak than two." She said before falling into Damon's arms.

"Why's your nose bleeding?"

"I have a guess." Kai's voice spoke from down the hallway. "Magic's hard. Isn't it, Jo?" Kai tilted his head with a smirk.

"I'm so sorry." Jo apologized as she wiped away the blood spilling from her nose.

"Don't sweat it. I want him to see me while I kick his ass." Damon responded cockily. "Now get out of here, okay?"

Jo limped off weakly and Damon looked around him, worriedly. "Where the hell are Elena and Nayeli?"

"Oh. Are we not cloaking people anymore? I thought that's what this was." Kai chuckled.

Damon grew angry and broke a nearby mop in half and threw it to where he thought was Kai, barely missing my arm as it flew into Elena's stomache.

"I'm definately getting the hang of this." Kai appeared next to her with his arms crossed. "Cloaking spells illusions. You know, it's all the same wheelhouse."

I flicked my hand and Damon fell to the floor grasping at his head, groaning.

I didn't know that Kai had left the room until I heard a crossbow go off and Kai grunting.

I sped into the other room to see Jeremy Gilbert standing with the weapon in his hands. I grinned, "Oh hey little Gilbert. Haven't seen you in a while. Motis!" I chanted and the crossbow flew into the wall, shattering.

"Oops." I giggled until I felt a sharp needle inject into my neck and my knees went weak.
