I mentally thanked god as the car trip finally came to an end. Three days of awkward silence, yikes.
I got out of the car as soon as it stopped, taking in the fresh air. "Ah, Mystic Falls. I do not miss this place" I said looking around the familiar town that I know and loathe.
"Speak for yourself." Kai spoke, getting out of the car as well. "Being stuck in that car with you for the past three days is not my cup of tea."
"Funny." I said sarcastically. "Where to now?"
"Now, we explore the place so I know every hideout for when I get out of here." He walked ahead of me so I naturally followed.
We walked down the street for a while before I grabbed Kai's arm.
"What?"
"Look, a house." I pointed over to the familiar house I've been in before.
"Ooh a house. Just like every other house on this street." Kai said sarcstically, rolling his eyes and continued to walk.
"It's the Salvatore house." I spoke before walking up to the house and stood on the porch.
I turned around and saw him with a grin on his face before he walked up the porch and went inside of the house.
I walked inside after him and looked around. I had met the Salvatore brothers many times before. Considering I dated Stefan and Damon and I got along pretty well.
I walked into the living room and noticed a video camera on the table.
I picked it up and tried to figure out how it works. I somehow managed to turn it on and it started to film.
I decided to have fun with it and walked over to Kai. "Hey, Kai. Look what I found." I smiled while fimling him.
"Stop that." He covered the lens with his hand.
"Come on, have some fun." I teased.
He moved his hand and gave me a look.
"Do you ever smile, Malachai?"
He flashed a fake smile as I laughed.
"Smile more! You almost look like a good person." I joked.
"You know you're lucky you have a pretty face." Kai mumbled ignoring the camera.
I gasped dramatically. "Did Kai Parker just call me pretty?"
"Don't get used to it." He looked away trying to hide his smile. "Now put the camera down."
I chuckled before turning off the camera and put it back on the table.
"Let's go out." I shrugged putting my hands in my pocket.
Kai smirked. "I'm flattered, Eli, really-"
"Not like that you loser." I rolled my eyes with a laugh. "I mean, let's go to the Grill. We both seem like we could use a drink."
"For once I actually agree with something you've said."
...
I smiled at the bell that rang when we walked into the Mystic Falls bar.
I walked casually over to the bar and sat on the counter. "Welcome." I held up my arms with a grin.
"It seems like you know this bar all too well." He smirked.
"Something like that." I winked and turned and jumped down so I was on the side of the bar with the drinks.
Kai sat up on one of the chairs and played along. "Excuse me miss can I have a Margarita?"
"I'm gonna need to see some ID." I sassed.
"Can't you make an exception." He leaned forward.
I placed my arms on the counter and leaned forward too. "Just this once." I whispered with a wink.
I turned around to face the wall of the many, many alcohol bottles.
"Geez they've got everything here." I titled my head before picking a random bottle.
"Tequila.. Just what I needed." I smiled to Kai over my shoulder.
"I'll get you a glass-" Kai stopped when he saw me down a quarter of the drink. "Nevermind." He sat back down in his seat.
"Come on, Parker." I sat on the counter again and crossed my right leg over my left. "Take any bottle you'd like. Get drunk off your ass. Something I wish I could do." I took a drink from the tequila bottle.
"Maybe I should take this from you." He reached for the bottle but I kept it from him.
"No No. I plan to drink this bottle by tonight. And you can join me or you can sit there and watch. Your move." I looked him in the eye with a knowing smile.
"Fine. But I think you should take it slow.." He chuckled and took the bottle from me.
...
"Never Have I Ever... drained someone of their blood." Kai smirked.
I scoffed and rolled my eyes before taking a shot. "Jerk."
"Never Have I Ever killed my sibling."
"Ah, don't tell me you haven't stabbed one of your siblings with a steak."
"They're still alive, aren't they? Drink." I giggled as his face scrunched up in disgust when he took the shot.
"I never was a fan of Tequila." He muttered. "Never Have I Ever.. fancied someone and kept it secret." He looked up at me to see my reaction.
Did he know I had feelings for him?
I just sat there as he waited in anticipation.
"You know how the game works, Nayeli. If you have, you drink."
"Um why don't we head back? I'm getting tired anyway." I hopped off the counter but nearly lost my balance before Kai caught me.
"Yea, I Agree."
