Well, today I'm going to be homeless and jobless.

                              Christopher's POV
I knew it! I knew she'd do something like this. After my guests left I decided to call the hospital, this Ally woman told me that a woman by the name of Alex Haytham received my permission to visit my father.
                              This Ally should be fired.
I sped to the hospital, I know what my father is like. He's flirty and weird. I didn't want him blurting out all my secrets to Alex.
I walked to his room, laughter emanating from the inside.
"ALEX!" I yelled, causing her to jump. She turned around with a face full of fear.
"M-Mr Kenway, I was j-just..." She shakily began.
"Hey, I'm Mr Kenway." My father joked, trying to lighten the mood.
"Can it, Topher. " I angrily replied, my father's face dropped. I turned my gaze back to Alex.
She looked different now, no longer frightened. She look so much more...Vexed.
"How dare you..." She slowly stated, anger lingering on her every word.
"Excuse me?" I replied, trying to hide my shock.
"You have a father. A father who just got out of a coma and you talk to him like that! You have a father! Some people would kill to still have their fathers, yet you would mistreat your own! You are ungrateful! Your father is still weak, and yet he has shown me more personality in fifteen minutes than you have in a few months!" She yelled, slowly begining to turn red.
I was stunned and quiet. She had made valid point, but I was not going to give up.
"Nobody told you to come visit here! Typical Alex, stuffing her nose into everyone else's affairs, believing she can fix everyone's problems by meddling!" I yelled back. Her eyes started welling up with tears, but she quickly brushed it away.
"Christopher!" I heard my father yell from the back. He was really angry.
                              "What!" I hissed.
"Don't you remember any of your mother's lessons! How can you yell at a woman like that!" He said, his blue eyes now icy.
What a low blow. My mind raced back to when I was just a thirteen year old boy.
"Mommy, I have a question." I nervously asked my mother while she was busy gardening.
"Sure, sweetheart. Ask away." She replied with a warm smile, causing me to lose all my nervousness.
"How did daddy manage to get a beautiful woman like you?" I asked. She let out a melodious, genuine laugh.
"You think I'm out of your daddy's league?" She asked, still laughing.
"Well, yeah. You're so much more attractive than he is. Daddy is a bit...odd." I replied.
She looked at me and kissed my forehead before responding.
"Well, your father was charming and funny. Every woman wanted him, believe it or not. He treated me like a real lady, never got upset when I screwed up and, believe me, I screwed up a lot. He was incredibly patient with me." She replied with a fond look on her face.
I was in awe. My dad seemed like such a strange man, I was shocked to hear that being calm, patient and funny was all it took to get a wonderful woman like my mom.
"Christopher, do you want to find love one day?" She asked, staring into my blue eyes with a smile.
"I'd like to, mommy." I replied.
"Then rule number one: Be patient and calm. Your father and I came from two extremely different walks of life so I needed a man who was patient. He came from affluence and I came from poverty. " She responded.
"Be patient and calm, got it. " I optimistically replied.
"Good boy. Now help me with these pesky weeds ruining my beautiful garden and then I'll teach you more lessons."
She looked at me and smiled.
My father's words hit me hard.
                              Alex's POV
"Don't ever bring my mother into anything again." He replied to his father with his jaw clenched.
"She was my wife! Is still my wife! I loved her just as much as you." Mr Topher replied before coughing.
I walked towards him and poured him a glass of water from the glass jug on the bedside table.
"Thank you, dear." He replied with a smile. I smiled back and nodded.
"Help him again and you're out of my house. " Christopher coldly stated. I was stunned by his words, beyond comprehension. Why wouldn't he want me to help his own father?
                              "Christopher--" His father began.
"SHUT UP!" He yelled with a hoarse voice, he was so loud and I was terrified.
"I will not stop helping someone in need. " I firmly replied.
"Then you can find you own way! Return home and leave my house, when I get there I want you gone!" He yelled, the impact of his words leaving electrifying scars on my heart.
He chased me away, like a common street dog. I was struggling to comprehend.
I ran out of the room with tears blurring my vision, I heard Mr Topher call out to me but I just wanted to get away. I stormed out of the hospital and got into a cab.
If he wants me gone, then that's what he'll get.
                              Christopher's POV
"What is wrong with you boy?" My father asked with a stern look on his face.
"Stay out of it!" I yelled.
"She reminds you of your mother, doesn't she?" My father asked, cautiously.
He was right. She did. And it was too painful. I was upset, really upset. Words could not describe how angry I was.
I chased Alex away, I pushed her away. All because her kindness resembled my mother's. Am I deranged?
I walked out the hospital and drove around a bit. I returned home at about eight in the evening. When I returned home, everything was dark.
I turned on a few lights. It was a bit strange. I always expected laughter or music emanating from this house, but this night, everything was silent, empty and cold.
I walked up to Alex's room, partly expecting her to be asleep in bed. When I got there, I knocked a few times before entering.
                              She wasn't there.
All her things were gone. The necklace I gave her neatly laying on her pillow. I poignantly walked around the room a bit, savouring her scent that still lingered in the air, when I spotted something popping out from under the bed.
I walked closer and pulled it out. It was her Goku doll.
I thought she left it there so that she could come fetch it and we'd be able to talk things through.
Truth is, time passed, and she never did.
