Making Up

"I'll be right back." Cody says with a confused look because someone rang the doorbell and i guess he wasn't expecting anyone.

We've been talking about Joe and I, after talking about Riley and him, i started to miss him so i grabbed my phone out

Me: i miss you, can't wait to see you (:

I lock my phone smiling to myself.

I hear Cody's voice in a raised tone. I start to walk to his door when i hear Cody calling my name. All of a sudden, Violet appears.

"What're you.." i say confused. "What're you doing here?" i say a bit more angry.

"I'm sorry, she just showed up, i tried to stop her-" Cody defends himself. My gaze goes back to Violet. "Emma we have to talk. Please." she begs. I look back over at Cody who has a sympathetic look.

I clench my jaw now looking at Violet. "Okay."

"Emma, i'm sorry. I've been a terrible friend lately. I know that, i acknowledge it. We've been best friends forever, i can't just let you walk away. Not that easily." she uses her hands a lot as she speaks in a pleading tone.

"You always do this Violet. Always. You always get obsessed over a guy and treat me like a doormat! I'm sick of it." i confess.

"That's the last thing i wanted. I don't know what i can do or say for you to forgive me, but just know i love you. And i'm sorry. You've always been my rock, always there for me. I can't imagine us not being friends."

i start to feel emotional because it's true. I couldn't imagine not being her friend.

And i can't stay mad at her forever, she knows i can't. Might as well make up.

"I love you too, Vi." i give a sympathetic smile and she returns one, bringing me into a hug.

I say goodbye to them and head back to mine. I take my phone out, 8:02. I also see i have a message from Joe.

Joe: miss you more.
Joe: leaving now.

He must already be at my house. I unlock the front door and look into the living room to see Joe on the couch with Caspar and Lucy.

"Hey!" i call out announcing my presence.

They turn their heads to me, and only one acknowledges me by getting up.

"Hey you." Joe smiles at me. "Dinner is in the fridge!" Caspar calls out memorized by the TV. "Hey Em!" Lucy smiles widely. "Joe told us you made up with Cody. I'm so glad you guys are friends again." i hear Lucy say as Joe pulls me into a bear hug.

"Uh yeah we did. I know, i'm glad too. Violet and I also made up." the last sentence earns a head turn from Caspar.

I can feel Joe staring at me. "It's about time." Lucy says with a bubbly voice. "When did that happen?" Caspar asks. "Just now, she weirdly showed up at Cody's." i furrow my eyebrows. "Come to think of it, i don't know how she knew i was even there."

"I um... I told her." Joe stutters.

I turn and face him with a surprised expression. "Why?" i ask. "She wouldn't leave me alone. I just thought i was somewhat helping by pushing you two back together."

"That wasn't your decision to make." the words come out of my mouth more angrier than i expected. "Well if it wasn't for him, Em, you two wouldn't have made up. Chill out." Caspar says and he lets out a chuckle.

He's right. "Sorry, just hungry." i laugh it off.
