Snow Whites Senior Year

Chapter 17

Something’s bothering Eric.

He doesn’t talk much anymore. Okay, it’s not like he’s talked much before, but now he just acts differently. I think he has a problem with me specifically. He would throw me strange glances when he thought I wasn’t looking. Maybe I did something that involves him and he didn’t like it.

Is he mad because I borrowed his eraser in History without asking? I didn’t have bad intentions with it I swear! I just innocently erased a mistake I’ve made while taking notes. I forgot to give it back, maybe that’s it!

I open my pencil case and look through it. Nope, no eraser. I should get one, because if I had one in the first place, this confusion wouldn’t have happened.

“Do you need something?” Aaron asks, looking up from his open book.

“No!” I say hastily. No more borrowing. Borrowing is bad.

“Okay, just asking.” Aaron says slowly, confused at my out burst at his politeness.

I just give him a smile as a thanks, but I think that just made it worse.

Aaron got suspicious, “What? Something’s wrong. You freaking out is normal behavior, but you usually freak out in a different way.”

My mouth falls open in offence, “What do you mean by me freaking out is a normal behavior?”

“ ‘Ah, what’s my next class’, ‘ah, I’m hungry’, ‘ah, there are no apples today!’ ” Aaron mimics my voice.

“In my defense, they ran out of apples in the cafeteria the other day and apples to me is like a drug to a Crackhead. I’m not trying to be offensive to Crackheads.” I say, crossing my arms. “And I don’t talk like that and I do not freak out. I just get slightly anxious and panicked.”

“What’s the differ?” Aaron looks at me with an amused grin. Why do I always seem to amuse people?

I look around the library rather than him, just to show that I’m offended by his comment. Actually I’m not really, but I always do that to him.

“Did I offend little Snowy?”

“Watch it dwarf!” I shoot back, pointing my finger at him in warning.

Aaron chuckles, “I enjoy being a dwarf actually. I rock the beard. What is better than a sexy dwarf?”

I never get it right to piss Aaron off. He just ends up teasing me about it.

I growl in annoyance, narrowing my eyes at him.

“Watch it Snow, you don’t want to get wrinkles.” Mirko warns who sits down next to Aaron and gives me a grin.

Maik, Dan and Jean-Luc joined us and sat down.

“See,” I put my arm around Maik’s shoulders, “At least one gentleman that isn’t scared to sit next to me.” I rub into Dan, Jean-Luc and Mirko’s faces.

“I was too lazy to get another chair.” Maik says confused of the situation.

Aaron, Mirko, Dan and Jean-Luc all start laughing, earning a glare from me and the Librarian.

I remove my arm from Maik’s shoulders and cross my arms as Aaron gave a confused Maik a high five.

“You guys are jerks.” I mutter. I’m such a drama queen, I’m not really that mad at them.

“Who are you calling jerks?” Joseph asks, followed by Eric as they grabbed chairs from another table and added them to our table.

“She’s just mad.”Aaron says casually, waving it off.
