Corey's POV: "Mom I don't know if you've heard the news." I said throwing my bag on the floor. "What news?" "I broke up with Jenna this morning." "You did?!" "Yup." "Oh finally." She said rolling her eyes. "Mom!" "I'm sorry Corey but good riddance. I wasn't a big fan of her anyway." I had no idea what my mom was saying was true. "How come you never said something?" "Corey that's not something you just say to your son when's he's in a relationship." "That's true." I shrugged. To be honest it felt like weight off my shoulders not being with Jenna anymore. I could do what ever I wanted and she wouldn't be able to get mad. "So who helped you with that Chemistry stuff again?" "Oh a new girl named Alessia." "Oh is she nice?" "Yeah she is. We just started talking today." "Is she pretty?" My mom teased. "Yeah, she is." I said honestly. It's true she is. "That's nice." She said beginning to mop the floor. "Corey I need you to go upstairs I have to mop." She said. "Kay, see ya."
I went upstairs and talked to Johnny on the phone. "You guys should date." He said. "What the hell are you saying we legit just started talking today." "Well you know how fast things go." "Shut up Johnny." I said. "Have you heard anything from Jenna? Like did she say anything about me?" "I didn't hear shit." He said. "That's good."
The next day I walked into class late and our teacher didn't really care cause he knew I was always late. I handed in my chemistry assignment in feeling good knowing I did it right cause Alessia helped me. I winked at her and sat down. A few days later he gave them back and I had gotten a 92. "Corey wha'd you get?" She asked fixing her brown hair as we walked out of class. "92! What about you?!" "95." She said. "Shit you still got higher than me." I said. "It's okay you still did really well." She smiled. She had a pretty smile. "Thanks but if it wasn't for you I probably wouldn't have got it. I left it till the last minute." "Well maybe you'll do it right away next time." She joked. "Yeah, yeah I know. Well I gotta go but I'll see you around." I said. "Bye Corey." She walked away. I was happy that I actually did good on something in school for once.
English was hell. Jenna and her friends looked like they were all at once just gonna pull guns out and shoot me. Things were really awkward. The amount of dirty looks I got from Jenna was embarrassing not gonna lie. But at the same time I didn't really care because I was a free man. Sounds ridiculous doesn't it. I saw her with some guy. She was trying so hard to make me jealous and honestly I didn't give two shits.
After that I was done getting my shit from my locker I turned around bumping right into Jenna and her friends causing her half of her smoothie to spill all over her. "Oh shit!" I stood there not knowing what to do. She looked more pissed now than she did when I broke up with her. "COREY!" She screamed making other people passing by look over. "Shit I'm so sorry!"

I was going to go find paper towel or something some where. "Don't help me!" She practically screamed as she dumped the other half on my head causing multiple people to laugh. She walked away a little as her friends were helping her clean her. I stood there like an idiot with a fucking fruit smoothie on my head. I headed for the washroom as soon as possible. I went past Alessia hoping she wouldn't see me like this. Enough people saw me already.
"What happened to you?" She said trying not to giggle. I stopped and looked at her coldy. "Jenna happened." I said trying to keep cool. "Do you have paper towel or something? I don't want to go in the washroom I don't want people seeing me like this." "I can get some from the ladies room, stay here." She giggled. I waited for her.
When she came back we went outside and I dumped a bottle of water on my head to get it off of me. "Gone?" I asked. "Yep." She nodded. "Why do you not want anyone seeing this?" She laughed at her rhetorical question. "Well Ryan and the rest of them would make fun of me for the rest of my life. It's pretty embarrassing to say that your ex-girlfriend dumped a fucking smoothie on your head in front of the whole school practically." "How did it happen?" "Well I accidentally bumped into her which caused it to spill on her then she dumped the rest on my head." "Geez that's really stupid." She said. "Of me or her?" "Both." She laughed. "What?! It was an accident!" "I know I'm just joking!" She laughed. "Oh." I said feeling stupid.
We went back inside and saw the boys. Alessia went with her friends and I went with mine. "What were you doing?" Billy asked. "What?" I said. "Where were you?" "In the washroom." "With Alessia?" They giggled. "What the hell no?" "But you were just with her." Ryan said. "So?" "What were you doing?" Ryan asked. "Just talking. Why are you asking so many god damn questions?" I said. They laughed. Usually I laugh with them but not right now. From a distance I could see Jenna glaring Alessia. But for what?
After school we had practice. I waited outside leaning against my red car waiting for Ryan, Johnny and Billy. I had a baseball in my hand and began tossing it up and down in the air. Stopped when I saw Jenna walking towards me. Shit I wanted to drive away but I had to wait for the guys. I was gonna run in and get them but I was afraid she'd slash my tires or something so I just played it cool and pretended I didn't see her which obviously backfired.
"Corey." Oh shit she was coming over. "Hey." I said nonchalantly. "I wanted to apologize for today." She said. "Same but I swear it was an accident." "I know it was but mine wasn't and I'm sorry." "It's okay." "I was thinking we should start over." She said taking a step closer. "Yeah that'd be nice." I said shrugging. She leaned in to kiss me and I backed up sitting completely sitting on the hood of my car. "Woah, what are you doing?" I said. "What do you mean what am I doing? We just agreed to start over." "Yeah I meant by you not hating me and us being friends. Did you think I meant-" "Who is in the way?!" She said interrupting me. "What?" "It's that new girl isn't it?!" "Jenna what the hell are you talking about?" "She's in the way of us getting back together." "Uh, no she's not. We're friends and I never said anything about getting back together." "Well that's what I thought you meant." She said crossing her arms. "Sorry but no I meant as friends." "Whatever have fun with your new bitch." She said walking away. I rolled my eyes and sighed.
Finally they came out. "What the hell could you have been any longer?!" I said hopping in. "Sorry the showers were busy." Johnny said. "Whatever." I said starting to drive. I was just happy that I had escaped from Jenna.
