Corey's POV:
I was having a great time meeting Alessia's Mexican family. Even though I didn't know what they were saying half the time it was still great. But I did feel like an outsider only because me and Teresa her mom, were the only white people here.

The place smelt like Mexican food and it was amazing. Ive never had Mexican food that good. To the end of the night we sat with her cousins and watched their family danced. My arm draped around Alessia shoulders as we giggled watching everyone. Her legs were crossed and she held my other hand on her lap. She was so beautiful. I was really lucky.

"Come on let's go." Paulina said. Alessia laughed. "Oh please you know I don't dance."
"What? I don't believe that." I said. "Yeah well I don't." She said making it clear. "Well I'm going." Paulina said standing up with Sofia and Alessandra. "Corey care to join?" She said blushing. "Sure why not." I said getting up with a smile. "Common I know you want to..." I said smirking at her putting out my hand. "Fine." She said taking my hand and following.

That night everyone went home but I stayed longer with Alessia's family. "Gracias por venir." Her dad Lee said patting me on the shoulder. I smiled about to say something back but I only knew half of what he said. I turned to Alessia to help me out. "Means thank you for coming." She whispered leaning close to me. "Oh!" I said. "De nada, Gracias." I said. He giggle giving me another pat. "Thank you Corey we hope you had a good time." Teresa said. "No thank you for having me. I did have a great time." I said after she gave me a hug. "So did you really have a good time?" Alessia said taking my hands. "Hell yeah I'd do it again." I said. "Believe me it wouldn't be as much fun if you weren't here." She said resting her wrists on my shoulders. "I doubt that. I wish my family did fun shit like this but we don't. We're just boring, white and messed up." I said shaking my head. "Corey that's not true!" She half laughed. "It is." I said. "No I love you and your white family." She said running her hand through my hair.

Soon March break was over and it was time to go back to school. I got up and threw on a sweatshirt and jeans. I waited outside Alessia's to pick her up. I leaned against the car until she walked outside. "Morning beautiful." I said. "Morning hottie." She said kissing me.

When we got to school people looked at us. I don't know why, it's been four months we've been dating yet everyone still acted as if this was new. Of course to make everything awkward, Jenna stood there with her friends glancing over.

After Alessia and I went our separate ways to go to our classes I was stopped by Jenna. "Hi Corey." She said sarcastically. "Hi Jenna." I said caught off gaurd. "So I heard Jack's not over Alessia." She said trying to get me going. "Uh huh." I said continuing to walk. "You don't care?" She said sounding concerned. "Nope. Not really."
"Why not?"
"Because she's my girlfriend and they never dated."
"But they had a thing." She said. "He just wanted to get in her pants. He never truly liked her." I said.
"Well I think he does."
"What are you trying to say Jenna? I'm sorry but Alessia and I are together now."
"Oh please why would I want to get back together with you?" She laughed. I felt a little embarrassed by her comment but I couldn't give two shits. "Whatever Jack's irrelevant." I said trying not be rude. I watched Jenna walk away to kiss Ryan. What the fuck?! Why was one of my best friends and my ex kissing?! I ignored it at the moment and went to class.

"Funny huh?" I said as she walked over to me after school. "Yeah." She laughed. "Is this your tree?" She said kneeling in front of me. "Yeah. I sit here when I'm pissed." I said tossing piece of grass in front of me. "So does this mean you're pissed?" She said. "A little." I sighed.
"Then what's wrong?"
"Apparently Ryan and Jenna are together now. Tell me how fucked up that is."
"What?!" She said. "Yeah I thought Ryan was my friend. I couldn't give two shits about Jenna but friends are not supposed to date other friends exes."
"Yeah, go talk to him about it."
"I'll do it tomorrow. I just want to be here with you." I said pulling her onto me. "Seriously at this uncomfortable tree?" She laughed. "You think it's uncomfortable? You're not even on it you're on me, i'm the one leaning on it." I laughed. "Then you're gonna be uncomfortable."
"If I was uncomfortable would I be sitting here?"
"Whatever." She said kissing me. "Seriously though that pisses me right off." I said going back to talking about Ryan. "Then tell him now!" She said.

"Hey Alessia, oh sorry..." Caroline said turning red realizing Alessia wasn't alone. "Oh it's okay Caroline, what's up?"
"No its fine." She said. " No Caroline it's okay what's up?" I said turning to her. "I was just wondering if you two were free tonight to go on a double date at that fancy restaurant we went to down town."
"That sounds didn't what do you think Corey?"
"Yeah absolutely." I smiled. "who's your date?" Alessia said sounding excited. "Um... this is why I may have been stupid for asking you guys but I thought I should anyway... but it's Jack." Both of our mouths dropped. "What?!" Alessia practically yelled. "I know what you're thinking but he's actually interested in me and I've never had a date before." She said. "Caroline you can't go out with him!" Alessia said. "I know he's no good but just to try, we probably won't even get far, just this one time." Caroline begged. "I didn't want to go alone that's why but I understand what he did to-"
"It's fine we'll go." I said with Alessia turning to me. "Really? You guys won't punch each other out?" Caroline said. "Nope. I'll be like a body guard incase he tries anything on any of you." Alessia paused for a moment before speaking. "Fine. We'll do it." Alessia and I still couldn't believe Jack decided to hit her up. What a desperate prick. "Just be careful he's probably just using you like he did for me." Alessia said. "I know. It's just a one time thing to see how this goes." Caroline promised. "Okay what time do you want us there?"
"Six o'clock thank you guys so much." She said. Both Alessia and I knew this was going to be a very awkward night.
