Back at Carlos's home, his mother was furious to see what her son trade dog for.

"How could you do this?" Cruella asked angrily. "What kind of boy exchanges a dog for beans?"

"But, they're magic. Mal and Ben told me."

"Get your head out of the cloud!" She said loudly while pulling him into their home. She threw the 5 beans in the dirt, which caused a small spark in them

"Mother, no!"

"You and your worthless ideas and inventions! You'll never come up with anything good! Will you never learn?!".She shoved to the ladder that led to his small room near the roof. "Now go to bed, and no supper!"

He took off his jacket and laid on his hay bed. Meanwhile, back outside their home, a leafy plant began to grow from the ground.

At the front of the castle, Jay his behind the bushes nearby. It was a bit past sunset, and he waited to see Audrey again. He tried to figure out a way to get into the castle when he noticed Audrey walking out of it.

Audrey looked down at the ground as she walked out of the castle. When she went in, she was greeted by the King, but the prince was turned away by another maiden in a blue gown. After seeing that the prince wasn't going to dance with her, Princess Audrey excused herself from the Festival and walked outside for fresh air.

"Isn't the festival the other way?" She looked up to see Jay coming out of the bushes. Audrey smiled and walked to him.

"Well, it didn't go exactly as my parents planned." She explained.

"How was it suppose to go?"

"Didn't I tell you?"

"No, I don't think so," Jay answered, after thinking for a moment.

"I was basically supposed to marry the prince of this kingdom, so my kingdom and this kingdom will be unified."

"You were about to marry someone that you've never met, not even loved?"

"I know it sounds like a terrible thing to do, but I had to do it. I have to do it to keep my family in riches. If I didn't, then my family status will fall apart, and another family will come in and take our place."

"I can now see that problem. You want to marry for love. If you do marry for love, then your family will lose their money. If you don't, then you won't be happy."

"That is overall it." She sighed and sat on a nearby bench. "I don't know what to do."

"I don't know the answer to that." He said while sitting next to her. "You want to be happy, but you want to keep your family happy."

"That isn't helping."

"I can see that you have been spoiled most of your life, but I can also see that you'll know what to do."

"How?"

"You're trapped. You'll die if don't break free. Maybe not right away, because you're strong, but soon enough that fire inside of you will burn out."

"It's not up to you to save me,"

"You're right. Only you can do that"

"I need time to think about it."

"While you do that, want to go to my place?"

"Sure. Why not?"
