The three then began their search for Carlos. The woods seem to be more destroyed than before and they couldn't figure out where to go.

"This isn't getting us anywhere!" Jane said.

"We just need to keep looking," Ben told her, trying to be positive.

"How about we split up?" Mal suggested. "Ben you go that way," she said while pointing ", and I'll go this way."

"What about me?" Jane asked.

"You can stay here. Tie you cloak around this tree, that way we'll know where you are."

"What if we get lost?" Ben asked.

"We'll count our steps. Count to 500 in one direction and come right back."

"What if Jane walks away?"

"Why would I walk away?" Jane questioned.

"What if-"

"Now you're just making up excuses. I need you to trust me, can you do that?" She said looking into his eyes.

"Yes," He sighed out. Mal began walking and counting, but Ben stopped her. "Wait!"

"What?"

"You should take this." He handed Mal her scarf.

"Thanks," she told him and kissed him. They both turned and walked and counted their steps.

Meanwhile, Jay and Audrey ran through the woods. They dodged over the fallen trees, careful not to trip. They change into the peasant clothing they hid in a hole in a tree. They continued to run until they reached a clearing by a fallen tree.

The couple stopped and looked around. They saw various items scattered on the ground and some under a tree.

Jay and Audrey carefully walked around and looked at the items. When Jay found a picture frame shattered, he broke down. He let his tears out, one of his last possessions destroyed.

"I'm so sorry," Audrey said.

"It's not your fault." He muttered. She came to him, giving him a hug.

They heard some branch snapping and turned. The two saw shadowy figures emerge from the fog, so the couple quickly hid behind the fallen tree.  They waited and heard the snapping stopped. Audrey looked and saw her parents.

"Mom, Dad?" they turned to her, surprised to see what their daughter was wearing. "What are you doing here?"

"The guest quarters of the castle was destroyed." Her mother told her. "And what on earth are you wearing?"

"It's my clothes."

"Those are not fit for a princess."

"They were given to me."

"By whom?"

"By me," Jay said, coming out behind the tree.

"See!" Her father furiously said. "I knew he was a no good rebel!"

"Just because I'm dressed differently makes him a rebel."

"He changed you!"

"No, he didn't! He just made me see clearer than you. You, my parents, sent me here alone to marry a stranger! My parents, who only cared about their status and money than the safety of their own daughter!"

"It was to give you what you want!"

"I never wanted to marry someone for money! Neither of you asked me what I truly wanted!"

"We each have to make sacrifices in life. Why don't you do it."

"I wish we were never Royalty!" With that Maleficent landed in front of them. Audrey's parents stepped back, while Jay tried to get her behind him.

"You want to undo the deal?" She asked Audrey.

"What is she talking about?" Jay asked.

"I made a deal with her. She made you Royal for a day or so. Maleficent told me if I could get you to kiss me for true love then you could remain in royalty. If not, then my family and I will become peasants."

"You were going to give up everything you had for a homeless man?" Her father asked.

"Yes, and want to know why? We did kiss, for love!"

"I can't believe you would do that."

"Maleficent," Audrey said to the winged creature. "I want you to undo the deal and make me like him, a peasant."

"What no!" Her parents objected. "We won't let you."

"This isn't your choice!" She said raising her voice. "I'm the one who made the deal, I want it to undo everything."

Audrey then held out her hand and Maleficent shook it. The witch then raised up her arms, which created a gust of wind. Some light blinded them and pushed everyone except the two back.

When it all ended, Jay saw Audrey's parents, who looked nothing like royalty. Their best clothes were changed to rugged wear. All looked at Audrey and Maleficent, who saw as if nothing happened.

"It's done," Maleficent told them. She flew away, leaving all of them alone.

"What did you do?" Her father asked.

"You know what I did," Audrey responded. "I made our family like any other commoner."

"What about our kingdom?"

"Another family will take it over, and make sure to be fair to their subjects."

"Who exactly?"

"Most know him as another commoner Arthur, he's best known for taking to sword Excalibur from the stone."

"He won't know how to rule a kingdom!"

"I know he'll do better than you!" She began to walk away, while Jay quickly packed his picture of his family in his bag.

"What are we going to do now?" Her mother asked as they got further away.

"You are on your own, like everyone else in the villages."

As the former princess's parents were left alone with nothing, Audrey didn't look back.

"I think you a little rough on them," Jay told her.

"I know but they need to learn what it's like to not have money."

"You do too."

"I have been with you for days and know that this won't be easy."

"You're right about that." Audrey kissed him for a brief moment. "But I won't go through it alone like you. We can figure something out, they can too."
