The moon was nearly full, and Ben and Mal were looking for eachother as quickly as they could.

Ben looked up at the moon, seeing it nearly at its full peak. He had a normal dog and carried him as Ben looked. He looked around called out her name.

"Mal!"

"Ben, I'm other here!" He looks around and saw Mal running barefoot.

"What happened to your shoes?"

"I traded them for the blue slipper." She answered as she took out the blue shoe along with the pink ribbon.

"Well, I got a dog and still have the red hat."

"We have all four!" Mal exclaimed as she gave Ben a hug. He hugged back and there was then another strong gust of wind. They turned to see Maleficent in a small tree.

"I see the four items." She said.

"Yes, we have them all."

"Hold on. That dog doesn't look playful."

"Of course he is," Ben answered. Maleficent grabbed a stick, waved it in front of the dog, and threw it. He grabbed and returned it, like a command.

"This dog isn't playful at all!"

"Why didn't you get a playful dog?" Mal asked Ben.

"We had a playful dog, honestly we did," Ben explained to the witch.

"Well, where is he?"

"He's dead," Mal said. "And we'd thought you'd prefer a live dog."

"Well, of course, I'd prefer a live dog! So show me where he is so I can bring him back to life."

"You can do that?"

"Yes, now show me where he is!" The couple then led Maleficent through the trees, and the moon nearly at its full peak shined on them.

Carlos returned to his pet, where he, Mal, and Ben left in a small hole in a trunk of a tree. He took a nap, as the harp he'd stolen played.

"Carlos!" Someone yelled out, waking the boy from his slumber. "Carlos where are you?"

"Mom?" He questioned, and got up to see his mother running to him.

"Oh, Carlos. There's a dead giant in the backyard."

"I know, I'm the one who killed him."

"You could have been crushed." She said while hugging him tightly.

"But mom look a harp." He told her while giving the instrument to his mother.

"You've stolen too much," Cruella said with a small smile. "You could have been killed climbing down that plant!"  She told after smacking the back of her son's head. Carlos's mother hugged him tightly again as they heard someone approaching.

"He's over here." They both turned to see Mal and Ben with a woman with horns. "He's in a hole in a tree."

"What are you doing?" Carlos asked as Ben took Dude out, and gently placed him on a small pile of leaves.

"Maleficent is going to bring Dude back to life," Mal explained.

"She can do that?"

"She's a witch, she can do anything."

"Now stand back," Maleficent told them. They did, and she began to mumble out a spell. It sounded like a foreign language. When she raised her arms up in the air, Dude opened his eyes and spun around. All were surprised at what just happened, especially Carlos.

"Dude you back!" He exclaimed while hugging his pet "I missed you so much!"

"Now then, let the dog sniff the three items. When he does, he'll hunt for the food I need to break this curse." Maleficent told Ben and Mal.

"Let me do it." Carlos said, "He'll only hunt for me." They quickly handed him the items, and Carlos let his dog sniff from each. After he finished he immediately ran through the trees.

Everyone followed him until they came to a stop in front of a large and tall tree. Dude began digging in the ground and pulled out a potion bottle. Carlos took it from him, and handed it to him and handed it to Mal. Mal looked at it for a moment out of curiosity, and handed to the witch.

"Finally, " Maleficent sighed.

She uncorked the bottle and drank from it. The moon reached its full peak than a flash of light appeared and the wind began to swirl around the witch. All watched her, and Mal felt a new feeling inside her. When she looked at her hand, Mal saw green sparkles coming out. She got Ben's attention and showed him it. He smiled and hugged her, while the wind slowly faded away.

They all saw the same woman with horns, but she now had large feathered wing behind him. Maleficent lifted herself off the ground and finally felt freer than ever.
