___________________Meanwhile, Jane and Carlos were drawing in the dirt. They were trying to come up with a good plan to kill the giant. Jay, Audrey, Doug, and Evie were also thinking on what to do next.
"Are you still mad at me?" Carlos asked Jay as he looked up from the ground drawing.
"No. It's okay." He responded. "Maybe I shouldn't have met a princess."
"Maybe I shouldn't have stolen from the giant."
"Maybe I shouldn't have strayed from the path."
"Maybe I shouldn't have made that deal with Maleficent."
"Maybe I shouldn't have attended the ball."
"We all shouldn't have done a lot of things," Doug said, getting everyone's attention, "but we just now need to figure out how to to get rid of the giant."
"What's the point?" Jay yelled out angrily. "We won't be able to kill that thing."
"If we don't she'll kill everyone!"
"She already killed the only family I had left!" Jay breathed heavily. He looked at the jacket and pin. "I had a chance to see him for the first time since he left me years ago."
"He tried to look for you, Jay," Audrey said. "At least you have family that actually cares about you."
"I lived most of my life without my parents. No one ever cared for me."
"My parents only cared about money," Audrey said. "They never thought of anything else, sometimes not even me."
"My mom does take care of me," Carlos told them. "But she sometimes thinks I just have a wild imagination. She pressures me to be more responsible ever since my dad was killed when he was out hunting."
"My mother died when I was around the age of five and Doug was six," Evie said. "My father married three years later. When he died from a heart attack, my stepmother took over my household and turned me into a servant."
"They were good people," Doug told her.
"My dad is in prison." Jane blurted out. Everyone looked at her, seeing small tears in her eyes. "I just get embarrassed by him. He just made some really bad decisions since my mother divorced him when I was young. He sometimes writes to me, but I don't write back. I just feel like he's a stranger."
"Have you tried to actually talk to him?" They all turned to see Mal and Ben approaching them.
"I knew you two wouldn't leave us." Evie said, with a small smile.
"I feel better," Mal told them before turning to Jane. "We'll have to talk about all of this later."
"What are we going to do?" The young girl asked.
"We have to rid the giant of our land and we'll have to work together."
"Both of us thought of a plan," Ben said after her. "We are going to feed Carlos to the giant."
Everyone began to protest, and Dude began barking loudly.
"Listen!" Mal yelled out. She walked passed them, to the tar pit behind the group. "We'll use him as bait to lure the giant to the tar pit."
Evie heard chirping above them. She looked up to see her bird friends land on a tree branch.
"My birds can help too! Good friends, we need your help." She said looking at her friends on the low branch. The birds chirped, and Evie couldn't believe what they were telling her.
"What about Prince Chad?" Evie asked them. They chirped again, while everyone else stared at them. Evie turned her head to Audrey and Mal, then back to her feathered friends.
"That doesn't matter now." She told them. "We need to focus on defeating the giant."
The birds explained to her what they can do to help. Evie smiled and her friends flew away. "Thank you birds!"
Evie looked at everyone else who, except for Doug, were surprised at her ability. "What?"
"You can talk to birds?" Audrey questioned.
"They will help when the time is right." The woman explained to them.
"We don't have much time," Ben said as he led them all further away from the tar pit. "We'll need a way to circle around the giant near her head and weapons."
"I have been testing an invention of mine that might help," Carlos said, taking out his journal. "I'll need to get it from my home."
"I can help get weapons." Jay said."I have just about everything in my old home."
"I can go with you two to get the materials," Mal said. "Evie, Doug, Jane, Ben, and Audrey will stay here and keep an eye out for the giant."
"Just be careful," Ben told her. The shared a small kiss, and Mal left with Jay and Carlos.

A/N- The part with everyone talking about their family problems was loosely based on the video above, which is one of the scenes from the Disney Channel Original Movie Lemonade Mouth ( 2011).The scene takes place after Olivia's(who is played by Bridget Mendler) mother's cat, Nancy, died, which was the last thing she had of hers. Her friends come to her house to ask why she wasn't at school that day.
Lemonade Mouth Trailer- A band
She's So Gone- Mo singing a song about her not being the same girl as she use to be.
Olivia and Wen Argument scene(One of my favorite scene)- When Mo gets sick and Charlie breaks his hand, it begins to cause more unluckiness to occur. Wen isn't happy about his dad marrying his girlfriend, Cindy, which caused him to get a black eye. This makes Olivia show her true feeling about how lucky he was and why she really joined the band.
Jail Scene- After being arrested for attacking police officers while trying to save their lemonade machine(that has been scheduled for removal) and each of them getting seriously injured or sick, they began to think they time was up.
How We Got Our Band Name Scene- When a rival band, known Mudslide Crush, attack Olivia, her fellow band mates and friends stand by her. When Stella, the so called 'problem student' spits out lemonade, it surprisingly leads to them getting their band name.
