Jay and Audrey continued their way through the woods. It seemed to grow thicker as they went further in.

"I have never been in this part of the forest," Jay said while looking at his compass.

"What should we do now?" Audrey asked. He thought for a minute and looked up. The trees had many branches which gave him a plan.

"I'll climb a tree and can try to figure out where we are."

"And me?" Jay scanned the area and saw a cave nearby. He led her there and created a small fire with rocks and sticks.

"Stay here and if anyone comes, then hide."

Audrey nodded and sat near the flame. She watched Jay go back in the tree and waited for his return.

As Jay climbed the tree, Mal continued counting her steps. He noticed her approach a small clearing and carefully climbed into a nearby tree.

Mal continued to counting, almost reaching two hundred, but then saw the prince with his horse.

"Hello," Mal greeted and bowed. "Hello, Your Royal Highness."

"Hello,"

"Hello again. We've met before a few times."

"Yes, I remember." It was quiet between them, so Mal continued speaking.

"You must be here to kill to the giant."

"What?" Chad questioned.

"You haven't heard? There a giant in the land," she said while pointing to a giant footprint right behind the prince. "It's not an earthquake."

"Of course."

"Didn't you have a guard with you?"

"Yes, she went to look around the village for any survivors while I stay here to see if there's any more damage."

"That's very brave of you."

"Yes, now I know it's a giant causing the destruction."

"It's funny," Mal said with a small laugh. "It's a lady giant. Which is a bit unusual."

"That's true." He agreed while moving closer to her. "And why are you here in the woods, alone?"

"Well, I came here with my best friend. And we,... It's a long story actually."

"He let you walk alone in the woods?"

"It was my choice, to be honest."

"That makes you brave as well."

"Really?"

"Yes. Anything can happen in the woods. We could be killed this very moment." He moved his arm around her and tried to kiss her.

"What are you doing?" she asked furiously and pushed him away. "You have a wife!"

"Yes, how foolish of me. But that can happen here. Life is often unfair and not great. You should know that as a peasant."

"Excuse me!" She said.

"Which is why we need to seize the moment."

Chad then pushed her to a tree and forcefully kissed her. She tried to get him off her, but he didn't let go.

"Help! Help me, please!" She screamed out.

As Jay watched what had happened, he immediately climbed down the tree and ran to the clearing.

Meanwhile, Ben walked and counted, almost reaching one hundred eighty. He walked and saw a woman kneeling under a tree with a man behind her.

"Excuse me," Ben called out to them. "I don't mean to disturb you two. I was wondering if you've seen a boy with platinum blonde hair, almost white."

He saw that they were too focused on the tree which was split on two and the beaches snapped off. "My apologies, but what are you doing?"

"The tree has fallen." The girl responded sadly, "My mother's grave destroyed."

"I'm sorry," Ben replied.

"It's alright. I'm sure others have suffered worse from the earthquake."

"No, this is not an earthquake. It's a giant terrorizing the kingdom."

"I'm sure Prince Chad will rid the giant from our land."

"The prince? He's probably out kissing some other maiden."

"What?" They both said and turned to him.

"You look like the princess and the Royal Animal Caretaker, but dirtier."

She got up and turned to him, as well as the man. Ben was surprised to see the actual princess in front of him.

"Oh my gosh, you are the princess!" He kneeled and bowed his head. "I'm so sorry."

"Please get up." She said coming to him. The three looked at each other and Ben was confused. "Doug and I had to disguise ourselves. I'm not allowed to leave theta lace unescorted and he wanted to come with me to the mother's grave. I wanted to see if it was still here and talk to her."

She looked back at the tree and frowned. Ben knew he had to help them.

"If you want, you two can come with me. You could be safe with us."

"Us?" Doug asked.

"Yes, it's me, girl, Jane; my friend, Mal."

"Alright," Evie agreed. She took one last look at the grave, before saying goodbye to her mother.

Ben took Evie and Doug straight back to where he came from. The rumbles from the giant were heard in a distance, making them walk faster.
