________________________Mal continued to try to the prince to stop and began to lose some control over her magic.
Chad continued to kiss Mal, while she thought of a plan. Mal held her hands in a fist, gathering all her strength. She grabbed the prince's lower arm and bit it.
He was shocked as he felt the pain on his arm. Mal breathed heavily as her magic slowly swirled around her hands and faded away.
"You bit me," Chad said while looking at the bite mark on his arm.
"You deserved it."
"You bit me!" He repeated angrily, "With your mouth! You could have you thrown in the dungeon for attacking Royalty."
"But you attacked me first!" Chad grabbed his sword and aimed for her neck. She froze and breathed nervously.
"Who would they believe? A penniless peasant or a rich prince?"
"Leave her alone!" Chad turned his head and Mal looked behind him. They both saw a man in peasant clothing with a side bag.
"And you are?" Chad asked.
"You don't recognize me?" The prince looked at him and realized who he was.
"Jay?"
"Yeah,"
"What happened to you?"
"Long story short. My girlfriend made a deal with this witch, I became royal for one day, we kiss, we faked the wedding, she and her parents became peasants because she wanted to live like me, and now we are all both non-royal."
"That is a long story."
"I'm sorry to interrupt but can you please help me," Mal said, as Chad's sword was stilled aimed at her neck.
"Just let her go!"
"You have no power over me," Chad said with a scoff.
"Looks like we'll have to do this the hard way." Jay then took out his dagger and aimed it at the Prince.
"You wouldn't hurt a Royalty."
"Watch me," Jay muttered. He then threw his dagger at him, but Chad dodged it, letting his opponent free. Mal ducked and the weapon became stuck to the tree.
"That was your attempt on stopping me?"
"Nope." They all heard a snap and look at the dagger.
There was a vine that was cut, swinging up, and they all watched. The vine went around the tree and went through different pulleys and other vines. It causes a rock to go into woven baskets, which caused the ending of the contraption. When it finished, a rope loop tied Chad's ankles together and lifted him off the ground. He dropped his sword and struggled to reach it.
"That was my attempt at stopping you," Jay said with a smile.
"Thank you." Mal giggled.
"Your welcome. I'm Jay."
"Yeah, I heard. I'm Mal."
"'Mal'! What kind of name is that?" Chad yelled out, sounding rude.
"Do you want to get out?" Jay asked.
"Yes, before the blood rushes to my head."
The thief climbed up the tree, and let the rock fall to the ground, being careful not to hit anyone. When he did, Chad crashed to the ground. He went to his horse, pushing Mal and Jay, and rode away.
