I IGNORED Kuya Gibbs who's now standing behind my couch with hands on his hips.

"Pride and Prejudice?" He asked as if it was the most disgusting thing he had ever seen. "Bro, since when did you started reading those boring stuffs?"

I glowered at him. "What's your problem? I'm decaying in this unit reading a book. I'm not doing drugs. You should be grateful instead of talking like I'm an immoral teenager."

He laughed. A laughed that's a combination of disbelief and humor. "That's the thing! You're decaying in here doing things you don't even do before. I should be the one asking you what's your problem?"

I just rolled my eyes at him before returning my attention to what I'm reading. I heard him sigh.

"Seriously, Hudson, what is your problem? You're friends are asking me where you've been. Hindi ka daw nagpapakita sa kanila. You go to school then leave right away after class. What-"

"Isn't that a good thing? Mabuti nga hindi ako naglalakwatsa." I said sarcastically.

"That's not my point."

"Then what is it?" Napipikon na ako.

Hindi ako makapag-concentrate sa chapter na binabasa ko because he keeps talking! Kanina pa!

"My point is, this is not you anymore. I'm worried."

"People change, okay? Ain't it a good change?"

"It's good. But it's too sudden. I can't help but think you're-"

"Kuya, I'm okay." Mariing sabi ko. "Please, I can't concentrate in here."

"Baka naman gusto mong lumabas today? It's Sunday and you're sulking-"

"Lalabas ako mamaya." I interrupted him because I badly want to dismiss him, this topic.

He sighed in the end, giving up.

"Okay. If you say so. Just-"

"Kuya. Please."

He let out another sigh.

I closed my eyes and gently massaged my temple.

I took a deep breath.

I also can't believe that I'm reading this. I don't know. I just discovered that I love books. Classic books, specifically. It all started with The Count of Monte Cristo, the novel Autumn asked me to read for our midterm project.

At first, I was really bored but halfway through the book I found myself enjoying it. I loved it, actually.

Sa totoo lang, I saw Autumn posted a quote on her Instagram account. The quote was from Wuthering Heights. Then, 'yun nga. I got so intrigued because of that quote.

Now, the nerd in me was unleashed. It's crazy. I thought I already know myself and now I realized I have more to find out.

God!
