(THIRTEEN) Fall Escapades

"AMUSEMENT PARK?"

I lazily glanced at Hudson who's grinning in front of the steering wheel. "Really?"

He laughed. "Well, what do you expect? That we'll ride a magic carpet and fly around the city while singing A Whole New World?"

I rolled my eyes. I unbuckled and hopped out of Tootsie. "I should've not trusted you to show me the world."

"Oh, come on, babe!" Humalakhak siya habang inaabot ang kamay ko.

He bought tickets for the ferris wheel ride. I'm not really afraid of heights but that's only because I never sat beside the window of a plane. Now that I am up here, I just found out that I actually have a fear of heights.

"Look outside." Nakangiting sabi ni Hudson. Oh, he really likes stuffs like this. He's an adrenaline junkie.

"I can't. I felt dizzy." I said in a low voice.

I wanna smacked him when he laughed at me. Kung hindi lang ako natatakot na gumalaw at baka mahulog kami.

"Babe, you have to look outside. The view is mesmerizing."

"I'm scared..."

Kinuha niya ang dalawang kamay ko. "Look at me..." He said and I did. I looked at him in the eye. "You have to face your fears. Kaya nga tayo nandito, right? Trust me."

Tinitigan ko siya hanggang sa kumalma ako. It's not that hard especially when he's holding me like this. He's the only thing who can put me in frenzy and soothes me at the same time. I closed my eyes and when I opened them, he's still gazing at me. Marahan akong tumango.

Ngumiti siya bago naunang sumilip sa salaming binatana ng passenger cabin. Sumilip rin ako. And he was right. The view was indeed mesmerizing.

"I can show you the world, shining shimmering, splendid..."

Napatingin ako kay Hudson na kumakanta ng A Whole New World kasabay ng pag-uga ng ferris wheel. He's staring at me with a stupid smile on his face. I gave him a what-the-fuck look but his grin just got wider. In all fairness, he doesn't sound bad. He's actually good.

"I can open your eyes. Take you wonder by wonder... Over, sideways and under... On a magic carpet ride..."

He raised his brows like he's waiting for me to sing the Jasmine part. I rolled my eyes at him. Ang dami niyang alam! I busied myself with the beautiful sight of Manila. Sinulyapan ko siya nang makitang hindi pa rin inaalis ang tingin sa'kin. He's still giving me weird looks.

"Sing it, baby!" He cheered.

I crossed my arms and arched my brow. I bit my lower lip to suppress the smile that's wanting to escape my lips. Umiling-iling ako. Tinaasan niya rin ako ng kilay. Naitirik ko ang mata sa pinaghalong tuwa at inis. It's so silly but I had to sing it. I wanna ride with his shenanigans. It radiates me.

"Well?"

I cleared my throat after giggling. "A whole new world... A dazzling place I never knew... But when I'm way up here, it's crystal clear... That now I'm in a whole new world with you..."
